Tharu needs a lot of work. The walkways leading up to the rooms were covered in Moss and slippery. The mattresses were rock hard. The bathroom was very poor. The toilet leaked and we had to put a towel down to stop the dripping sound at night. The basin water flow was non existent and the pipe was loose going into the floor so every time it emptied it splashed out onto the floor. The air-conditioning worked well and was the only reason we stayed except the power went off frequently for an hour or...

Very bad experience. Weird first interaction with the owner, then we met the wife who was only there for business. The room was in a bad state. Insects, blankets not cleaned, bathroom also not cleaned. We even decided to change hotels in the afternoon of our arrival. Would not recommend especially since you can get very good deals in way nicer places...
