We had the most incredible dining experience at Ceviche 91 Gastrobar. This restaurant has a really nice water view of the St. Anna Bay overlooking the Koningin Emmabrug floating bridge. Its on the third floor of the Rif Fort Village and provides a very charming atmosphere for any occasion.
It was a bit breezy on the evening we were there so just be aware when it comes to your attire. However, do not let this discourage you from enjoying a wonderful lunch / dinner at this location though as you will miss out on the best ceviche in Curacao.
The staff was very attentive and helpful when it came to making meal selections and recommendations. You really must try a Peruvian favorite, the Pisco Sour! Having experienced this delicious drink first hand in Lima several years ago assured us this drink was perfectly prepared! Ceviche 91 has a vast menu which includes a wonderful selection of tapas, oysters, nigiris, and Peruvian cuisine just to name a few.
The Peruvian ceviche was absolutely incredible and authentic! We also enjoyed the lobster ceviche as well. For our main course we selected the Argentinian chorizo and the grilled rib eye strips. My wife absolutely loved the rib eye strips!!
With so many delicious food options, perfect atmosphere, and very attentive staff, you will not go wrong with this...
Read moreFrom experience, restaurants in a shopping center or that are part of a hotel property are usually convenient yet not overly good. Ceeviche 91 bucks that trend. This restaurant sits high up on the 4th floor and has either deck seating overlooking the ocean or some seats inside in air-conditioned space. The deck has cool Caribbean breezes which makes outdoor dining very pleasant in this hot and humid climate. The service can be hit or miss like all places in Curacao but tonight our waiter Sean was fantastic. Super friendly, helpful, and great with suggestions. He also came back often to check on us and see if we needed anything else. Excellent service! The ceviche is super fresh and the flavors are interesting and unique. They have about 20 different ceviches and are really good and fun to try. They have some Caribbean dishes and lots of Peruvian ones as well as the family are from Peru. They also offer sushi and it is some of the best sushi we've had. One thing you have to get are their poke/ceviche filled tacos. The tacos were some of the most interesting and flavorful items we've had while in Curacao and were wonderful! Come check out Ceviche 91 for great food...
Read moreI truly believe that those who claim that the best ceviche ever is to be eaten at Ceviche’s have never eaten ceviche before. This was really disappointing. Service was most friendly, but if besides service and the view, which was very nice, the bottle of Pinot is the most memorable, you are missing the plot as a restaurant. We made reservations at 19:30hrs, our starters came at 20:30hrs - how long does it take to prepare raw fish? The Mexican ceviche was quite ok, the Bandido ceviche really wasn’t. Ceviche should be served cold and tastes acidic, but there is cold and cold, and acidic and acidic. The white fish was frosty, the level of acidity 3.0 - over the edge, not tasty anymore. The mussel was rubbery. I took a bite and didn’t dare to finish, it just didn’t look fresh. For our mains, which did follow shortly after, we ordered the 6 shrimps. These were ok, again nothing special. Mini shrimps covered in batter, served with a watery cocktail sauce. All in all, the food let us down. Ceviche should be super fresh, our servings just didn’t look or taste fresh at all. Half a star for service and half a star for the...
