deposit hasnt returned in my account in the time frame of what the “manager” said it would *i suggest paying $150 bond in cash so you can collect it at check out and not wait a week for it to be returned. * i would be happy to return with the other staff but Deeponsh has made me feel uncomfortable to come back so will spend my money at a place that wants to look after their guests. ive stayed here a few times before enjoyed my times one staff member and the cleaners lovely and friendly UNTIL yesterday the “manager” Deeponsh had a stand off attitude straight away, not friendly or helpful- when his end changes on me. (so i was questioning so i can understand better) doesn't communicate well - no one ever has been so rude to me while being on a reception desk ever. Deeponsh isn't approachable. instead of being rude and short to a paying guest that leaves the room respectful - should be directing the attitude towards the smoker in the room - which another guest complained about on check out

As it happened our flight was canceled so we did not make it into Auckland for the night we had booked at Bakers Lodge. We booked through Booking.com which still shows our booking as 'cancelled', however despite e-mails to Baker's Lodge explaining that we were not even in their country they have refused to refund us for the night's stay. We were out a lot of money with the many ways in which we had to re-plan airfares, car rentals etc. as our entire vacation schedule was disrupted, so the cavalier disregard for the truth of our situation and their taking payment for a room they know we did not occupy needs to be made known to anyone who may be considering staying at...
