I don’t like to be one to just be negative and I don’t want to make it sound like I’m attacking this hotel. However, the fact that it is considered a 3-star hotel is ridiculous. I dont know how it has such good reviews being rated as a 3-star hotel. I think it would be pushing it to even call it a 2-star hotel. If you are just looking for somewhere cheap to stay near the airport, still keep looking there are other and better options out there. We would have checked out and went somewhere else within 10 min of arriving, but just spent over 2 hours in Auckland traffic and just wanted to sleep. Which we didn’t do because the bed was totally uncomfortable. The area is not nice; we could tell that visually and were told specifically not to leave anything in the car. There is a very strong smell from the restaurant that’s attached. The room itself was tiny and not clean. The shower head was attached with zip ties. They don’t even have proper room keys, the room number is just written on a white card with permanent marker. Maybe at one point this used to be a nice place to stay, but right now it isn’t so just keep looking for somewhere else to stay.

I didn’t end up staying at this property as I accidentally booked through Booking.com. I contacted the property within 20 minutes to cancel and asked if they could make an exception since they were holding half the payment. Unfortunately, when I spoke with the manager, she was very aggressive on the phone, raising her voice and not listening to my concerns. She blamed Booking.com for not allowing the refund, but when I pointed out that wasn’t accurate, she became even more irritated. I found this unprofessional and disappointing. For a $150, it seems unreasonable that no flexibility or understanding was offered. They must be really desperate for money I guess. I did end up needing the place but I didn’t wish to stay after the manger called me stupid for saying the truth and blatantly lying about it being a booking.com decision at least be honest.

Unlike other NZ motels/Hotels nearby. I would say this place is new and hoping they could maintain the price at this rate and the room is absolutely amazing! Spacious and they are pretty much like hotels in Asia! Well refined design? Humble staff and great amenities & facilities. Sound proof legitimate, and they got smart TV & Aircon. I love everything about it! Compact and ergonomic. The only downside is the mobility in the hallway is quite narrow, but that doesn’t affect my first impression checkin in! So glad! I literally will book this place whenever I visit Auckland. The place near from everything, commuting easy, foodies just 5mins walks.

This review relates to a booking I had for Friday 16th September. When I made the booking over the phone several days earlier I was told that I would need to be at the motel by 5pm or the booking would be cancelled. I offered to give my credit card details to secure the booking but was told by the manager that it wasn't necessary. In addition to this, I explained clearly that I have a physical disability and use a wheelchair. On that Friday I travelled from the Dargaville area, in Northland, to Auckland which is a three and a half hour drive. Upon arriving in Mangere at 4.15pm I phoned to let the receptionist know that I would be arriving at the motel in a few minutes time. At that point I was told that my booking had been cancelled because it was after 4pm and that there were no other available rooms. She said that she had tried to phone me at 2.30pm to confirm my arrival. I did not receive the call because she had dialed the wrong number. At this point I had to try and find alternate wheelchair-accessible accommodation (that I could afford) which I was unable to do and had to then make the decision to drive back to my home. This took over four hours due to peak-hour traffic in Auckland and delays at Warkworth. (Consequently, I was unable to attend to the business that I had travelled to Auckland to undertake and have since had to make another trip down to do so) The drive home was extremely stressful, travelling alone (with a physical disability) along country roads in the dark for long periods of time, knowing that if my car was to have a flat tyre or other mechanical failure, I would be in a very dangerous situation. I have had no response to an email I sent on the 18th Sept and have yet to receive anything resembling a sincere apology. Needless to say I am extremely dissatisfied with the way I was treated by the staff...

TERRIBLE|My Girlfriend Booked a room for the 2nd March through wotif. Booked as “pay on arrival” and received a confirmation from the Kolmar Inn.||Her international flight was delayed, however not significantly that she couldn’t make it by the check in times of 2pm-8pm.||Whilst she was on her flight, the manager Rita Kumar, allegedly tried to call her RE: arrival time. Upon her arrival at the inn just shy of 8pm, the receptionist informed her that the room was cancelled and given away due to no response to their call. Which she had NO missed call for.||Upon checking junk emails, she observed an email at 7pm, advising they tried to charge my card at 2pm (regardless of the agreement being “pay on ARRIVAL”) and due to nil response they cancelled my room, leaving her stranded on the street in a foreign country. ||Even though she had till 8pm to check in, they not only dishonoured the pay on arrival agreement, but also gave away her room an hour early to her available check in time.||After an hour of demanding to speak to the manager, my girlfriend was immediately abused by her over the phone, before she hung up. ||This Inn will clearly disregard all rules attached to agreements, to make more money. Being kicked out onto the streets at 9:30pm, she had to try find an available hotel, pay an additional $30 on top of the $50 it cost her to get to the Inn, to find somewhere to stay. Absolutely...
