I was looking forward to sharing a meal on my son’s 21st. It was a Tuesday night and a tad quiet, the restaurant had opened at 5pm for dinner we booked at 6pm. As soon as we get there the waiter says we have to pay which we do promptly but he could have greeted us and shown us to our table so customer service was poor. We are given plates where we pay and told to sit in a horrible area against the wall. We head to check out the buffet and one waiter is literally monitoring what is put on our plates which was uncomfortable, he was rude and in my space which I didn’t like. We had to take every lid off which was a mission to do because our hands had our plates then spoons to serve plus carrying the lid trays so that needs to be done by a waiter not the customer. Now for the food part - We had lamb and chicken which wasn’t anything special, in fact I could have done a better job as the meat was dried out and the spices weren’t in harmony (meaning some had too much cumin and others dishes had hardly any seasoning or spices.) Tasted like a boring bland peasant dish. I had also in my meal a few stray hairs which when I found the first one I didn’t care too much as it happens, but the next piece of hair I wasn’t too happy about. I didn’t complain and ate my one meal due to the fact that the server was still hoovering around monitoring the guests plates. My sons don’t eat a lot so they also stuck to one plate despite us paying for a buffet. The desserts were all disappointing. They use spoons to cut a cake so visually the dessert area looks like a hot mess. The kebabs were probably the only good thing I ate tonight but again nothing special. There was no love in the food, the staff are not welcoming or have hospitality skills. Hence why I’m giving this scathing review and wouldn’t recommend...
Read moreFood was average, dessert was beyond below average. We ordered Marinated Chicken and Lamb as mains. Instead of garnishing the parsley, they made it as a side salad (more like a non edible salad).
We also ordered fried prawns, hummus and bread. The fried prawns were average. The hummus and bread was somewhat edible.
Lastly we ordered raspberry cheesecake and German mud cake for dessert. I’d say that’s the worst of all. The raspberry cheesecake was just made of jam on top, the middle part of the cheesecake was clumpy and the gelatine was spoilt. It tasted dry and plasticky. The mud cake was honestly like a dirty mud. It was super hard to even cut into. It tasted disgusting too!
The service was not up to the par. We had to constantly ask for basic necessities such as plates and water. For the dessert we were only given 1 dessert plate and 4 spoons.
We informed the owner that the cakes tasted bad, he literally said “We received complaints in the morning as well today, we are working on it with the pastry chef, we know it’s not very good at the moment”. What’s weird is that they still decided to put the cakes in the display for people to buy and eat it. The least they could’ve done is remove the cakes from the shelves or refund back the money for the dessert. We were charged full amount for the cakes even when they knew that we only had 1 teaspoon of it.
Overall it was a very disappointing experience. We came here after looking at the google reviews but after the experience, and going thru the reviews again, I realised that most of them have not commented on the food or posted any pictures of their meal. They had simply given a full 5 stars rating which makes me doubt the legitimacy of...
Read moreWe went to Khanz Restaraunt on a Monday for a work do lunch.
We were able to pre-order before our actual booking which made everything so much easier. There was 16 of us and the ease of not having to order was great as we could just socialise. We were seated inside but asked if we could sit outside and the staff had no problem setting this up for us.
The food was out quick & fast!!! Everyone's dishes were out in a timely manner and we all got to eat our food together and the food still be hot.
I ordered the 'Marinated Charcoal Lamb Cutlets'. I can't even explain how well seasoned the lamb was and how juicy the cutlets were. I should have ordered a side of rice because I didn't read the full description and realise it didn't come with it but it did come with 'Turkish Pide' that was absolutely delish. Fresh, hot, buttery and garlicky.
A work friend of mine got the 'Mutton Nihari' that tasted like a beautiful hot home cooked meal. The Curry was soooo flavourful & had a nice kick to it. Absolutely stunning.
The entire staff were lovely and helpful & they got all our orders correctly.
The atmosphere inside was cozy & both the inside and outside were very clean.
I will deffinately go back there. Thank you for such a...
