Carrick Lodge Motel — Hotel in Cromwell Community

We booked one night to stay. The rooms were clean however the service was poor. We arrived to check in at 9pm but one of the owners called Di was upset and spoke to us in an condescending tone as we came late and didn’t respond to the messages sent ( however the app clearly stated that check in was 2-9pm) . Even with our apology, she disallowed us from cooking steak in one of the rooms due to the smell and told us that she wouldn’t open the interleading door that connects both rooms as we were late. She also emphasised on NZ rules thinking we were foreigners due to us being east asians. It was a nice room however regretfully it will be...

Excellent meet and greet from Di, got a rundown of the town and some suggestions for dinner. Di walked us to our room which was well set up and had a nice balcony view of the mountains behind the shopping centre. Would be a spectacle when snowcapped. My wife is almost AdHD about cleaning and her first comment on walking in was that the room was really clean. Great nights sleep. And some lovely well manicured gardens including Lavendar bushes if you are into that kind of thing. Thanks Bob and Di, for a same day booking we were really happy...

A group of us stayed at Carrick Lodge last weekend and it was a fabulous stay. The rooms were meticulously clean, the towels were large clean fluffy high quality towels, the beds had lovely crisp linen and the coffee & teas were all lovely quality. Can’t recommend the complex highly enough. Di was so accommodating it was truly a pleasure. Also, across the road and in a lovely complex are some great restaurants and the supermarket is within walking distance. |Perfect all round ! |Thanks Di - we will...
