Fusee Rouge Cafe — Restaurant in Cromwell Community

Visited a year ago on my annual trip to Cromwell, couldn't wait to get back for an awesome coffee and some food to fuel up before biking the rail trail. Couldn't have been more disappointed. Terrible benedict, hard eggs, not sure what the sauce was on top but didn't resemble hollandaise at all, messy like no one cares about the customers (all the tables dirty, full of dishes). Seemed to be no manager/owner around as if there was surely they'd direct their staff, check on customers food etc, staff seemed to be struggling..? No one bothered to check if our food was ok so no chance to let them know about it. Toilet obviously doesn't get checked during the day, no toilet roll, dirty floor and mirror and rubbish and cleaning products stacked in the corner. Such a shame as I loved this place last time. I see it's changed hands recently so that might explain it. Sadly I'll go elsewhere on my next trip. This place was a real local place to be but I won't be...

Absolutely horrible experience today after my meal was ordered and paid for twice!!! Yes twice and forgotten both times the waitress then tried to tell us it was never ordered, after reciting back to us what we had ordered and repeated back everything correctly, and my husband going back in to order again still they failed... in the end my husband had to demand a refund and I went to the beautiful bakery next door. Staff were unfortunately lacking in many customer service qualities and the food was by far lacking consistency, being my husband and son both ordered the same big breakfast meal, one meal consisted of 1 egg the other 2, beans were cold and both mentioned it was not enjoyable... Management needs a serious shake up!

Super disappointed in the breakfast here. Ordered 2 coffees, a big breakfast & mince on toast. We were told a 20 min wait on the big breakfast as they were busy which was fine. The coffees came and were below average and warm, not hot. The big breakfast was more just eggs and bacon on toast with a hash brown & sausages. It looked nothing like photos on here of the usual big breakfasts, was missing mushrooms and the extra hash brown. And the poached egg was completely solid, no runny yolk at all. The mince on toast was ok. There was no chance to let staff know, as nobody checked in to ask how meals and coffee were and sitting outside, we were left with no service. Save your money & go elsewhere, for $70 I would rather have bought the ingredients myself and cooked at home. At least the yolks...
