Hamilton Settlers Motor Lodge — Hotel in Hamilton

I use to love this motel it was one of my favourite motels in Hamilton. So i booked online as usual knowing id have a nice stay. Much to my disgust when i arrived i thought i was in a scene from once a warriors!!! Screaming kids running around solo mothers outside chain smoking and drinking in pjamas swearing cars coming and going. i was scared to even stay there but i had booked and had no choice. The smoke waffled into our unit and the next unit person even threw there slopps out of the pot infront of our unit!! What has happened to this motel is a crying shame spoilt by people that cant afford houses so this motel decided to lower the standard of what was once a nice motel and house them. There was even a domestic next door that the police should of been aware of where the woman threatened to smash the motel window. What next i thought to myself how dear they take my good money i work for a nice hoilday ruined by this motel. Think twice...

We have stayed at this place numerous times over the years and it has always been good but unfortunately the owners have now accepted easy money from the government and allowed the homeless to live at this motel while they wait for state housing.||If you want to stay at a place with kids running around at all hours and a general atmosphere of a boarding house this place will suit you otherwise give it a miss.||The rooms are still nice and the owners look after the place well but probably not for long with the type of people setting up home here.||Hamilton is full of these places now so shop...

On arrival, carpark had people sitting in it, drinking, smoking & swearing. Office woman declined me a refund when I said at check-in that I would prefer to go elsewhere. She said it would be quiet by 11pm (and it was). By then I had barricaded the unit door with chairs after a loud male banged on my door @9.30 pm yelling for someone (who was in the unit 2 over). The upstairs was extremely hot with no fan, the sofa was stained, the shower curtains mouldy, the dishes dirty. By the morning my car had two dents & a scratch probably from the kiddies racing their scooters around the carpark. Just...
