I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Heartland Ambassador Hotel in Hamilton and was thoroughly impressed. From the moment I arrived, the experience was seamless and welcoming. The front desk staff greeted me with a warm and friendly smile, and the check-in process was quick and efficient, which was a huge relief after a long journey.

My room was a perfect blend of comfort and convenience. It was exceptionally clean and well-maintained, with a modern decor that felt both stylish and relaxing. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. I particularly appreciated the thoughtful touches, like the complimentary tea and coffee, and a spacious desk that was perfect for getting some work done. The bathroom was spotless and had all the amenities I needed.

The hotel's location is a major highlight. It's perfectly situated, offering easy access to the city center and other local attractions. I found it to be a fantastic base for exploring everything Hamilton has to offer. The on-site facilities were also excellent, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was peaceful and quiet, making it a great retreat.

What truly set this stay apart was the consistently high level of service. Every staff member I encountered, from housekeeping to the front desk, was professional, courteous, and genuinely committed to making my stay as pleasant as possible. Their dedication to guest satisfaction was clear in every interaction.

I would highly recommend the Heartland Ambassador Hotel to anyone visiting Hamilton, whether for business or leisure. It's a fantastic hotel that provides great value, exceptional service, and a truly...

Awesome place to stay!

We had a last-minute, spontaneous stay at Heartlands and managed to get two superior queen rooms at a very reasonable price.

We were extremely happy with all the facilities. The room was clean and tidy, and the body wash, shampoo, and conditioner provided were fantastic—they smelled amazing! The beds were incredibly comfortable and dreamy.

Rupresh (if I remember his name correctly) was absolutely outstanding! He was extremely friendly and helpful, answered all our questions, and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. He even provided an iPhone charger (as we were planning to drive back home to Auckland) and a portacot for our baby, personally delivering it to our room.

All staff members we had interactions with were incredibly kind, friendly and welcoming.

Breakfast was delicious and had everything we needed: fresh fruit, overnight oats, a range of yoghurts and milk, and a great selection of hot food that was cooked perfectly and regularly topped up. The smaller bain-maries meant everything stayed fresh and hot. The homemade baked beans were especially tasty. There were also plenty of options for kids. The price was excellent for the quality and variety of food offered.

The pool was fantastic, and the kids loved spending a few hours swimming.

We definitely recommend this place if you’re planning to stay in the area. The location is great too—right across from Pak’nSave, with a few bars and restaurants within walking distance. Despite being near a main road, the rooms were quiet, and we could hardly hear any...

Stayed here for new years eve and luckily got there at 8pm before last checkin. After camping and travelling it was a dream to have a nice, clean and very comfortable bed. Both ladies at the reception (afternoon and morning) were friendly and helpful. The room itself was very clean and spacious for the 4 of us. Nice pool and has a spa pool. A family stayed in the spa pool for a good hour before closing so my kids couldn't really get in and enjoy it but nevermind. The rooms itself was quiet on new years which was awesome. We received 2 20gb of free wifi for our family which is more than enough and with paknsave and kfc right opposite we had our night sorted without having to look any further. There is a good range of Sky Tv channels. A couple things that wasn't the best was a dirty/sticky teaspoon with the other spoons (nothing major). Just over a half of roll of toilet paper for the 4 of us didn't quite cut it so it would have been good to have a backup roll there. Also when I booked, the rooms said they were on the 3rd and 4th level so we would get a balcony but we were on the ground level. It was handy though as we parked our vehicle right outside our door but a balcony would be nice. And there was a few smoke butts and bottle caps outside our door. Just little things which weren't major. We still enjoyed our stay very much and would stay again the next time we pass through hamilton. Oh the price was...

Disappointed for $400+ Location is great for Hamilton, most food and places are in walking distance and an hour from Auckland. Rooms were decent, small gaps in the curtains let light from the carpark into the room making it difficult to sleep at night, no sound buffer noises on the street and other patrons could be heard constantly, the bathroom is outdated - shower in the bath, difficult to get perfect temperature (a slight turn would make it either really hot or cold), no fan ventilation and tapware was annoyingly close to the sink. TV's outdated and too small to be so far away from the bed, there was no option to stream/cast to the TV. The only TV option was Sky which had everything but the movies package. I would stay here again but I would find other options first.

Room ok but no curtains available when leaving bedroom and going to bathroom so need to be careful what you are wearing in front of the open window. Bed comfortable, and had soap, shampoo etc. At breakfast I had my meal slammed down on the table, and not in front of me, but the other side of the table opposite me and then he stormed off! I hadn't done anything except wait for my breakfast. Disgusting service. Will not come back here again. Attached picture is the window between the bedroom and bathroom, with no cover on it.

If a dripping tap gives you a headache, the consistent sound of this fan will drive you up the wall. There is no way of shutting the noise off. On top of that, the heatpump is loud when you put it on and your hotel room is on the top floor, next to a main road that has lots of traffic, loud motorbikes, etc. Too much noise. Sorry, after a 6 hr drive and needing to be up early the next day for training, I do not appreciate the noise. Otherwise, the location is perfect for walking to the office, shops, dining, etc.
