Loved eating lunch here. Food was 10/10 and service was great! Use the iPad to order what you want and it arrives in due time. We ordered the steak meal, it was delicious & perfectly cooked! Will be back again.
Update 12/7: been here 3 x now and never been disappointed with the service and food. We got the Venison Pie this time and OMG delicious. Props to the chefs, we have done lunch and dinner and food is always in point! We never take pics cause we eat half the plate before we think of it.
Update 17/12: service seems to have dropped. Not sure if it’s because of Xmas period but either way, when we’ve been coming here for so long, we expect the same service each time. We arrived and the only restaurant table they had for us was a bar table in amongst the bar clients, not in the restaurant area. This table was in line with the door leading out to the outside area. I asked to be reseated and was told we could sit anywhere outside. I don’t eat outside if I don’t have too. So we went and chose ANY table as advised. Waited 5 mins my partner had to ask for a iPad to order our meal. Our table usually comes with an iPad for ordering. While he was trying to organise that, staff came and asked me to move as I was sitting at a reserved table. The table didn’t have a reserved sign which is why i sat there out of the wind and in the sun. We moved to a bbq table and the iPad wasn’t working. Staff had to come and take our order with no menu so we didn’t order what we usually order. The pate was good but for the first time since dining at the helm, I was disappointed in the food. I get the same EVERYTIME cause It’s the same every single time except this time. Food was below par, service was poor. We received an email as we always do asking to “leave a review on google if you were happy or email the manager if you were not”. We emailed the manager thinking we would get a response at the very least but we didn’t.

Read moreAfter years of going to Helm we will not be returning. We parked here for under 90 minutes. And have received a debt collecting agency notice of $145 for parking there. We never received the initial notice of any parking infringement only a final notice letter on the 8/9 with parking infringement amount of $105.00, which included an additional $20 late fee.... even though we never got the first letter, $105 is absolutely insane to begin with, and then with a due date of 20/8 or will be sent to a debt collection agency. Letter received 2 weeks after the final due date. What a joke. It was paid that night, even though we had bank statements as proof of dining. As there was no contact number to dispute this with the proof we had, we just wanted this paid and to move on. Now even after paying the $105, as soon as the letter was received, we have today 29/9, received a letter from the debt collection agency dated 9/9... demanding payment of $145.00 due to non paid infringement. 20 days after the generation of the letter. Read moreWe have been regulars at the Helm for over a year now, the staff know us pretty well and welcome us when we come in. We are typically there around midday for lunch and a cocktail. The food is usually pretty good and the cocktails are great. However, the last time we were in for lunch, my friend decided to have the vegetarian pizza which was extremely disappointing. At the time of payment, a discussion was had in regards to our dissatisfaction, the waitress then went and re-laid to the owner who was standing off to the side. He then proceeded to have an aggressive expression on his face and quickly skulked out the back rather than backing up his staff. The poor waitress then had to come back over to us and say "I'm sorry but he's not going to do anything about it." And that was that, so we left very displeased.
