approximately 30 years ago my wife and I purchased about $6k of lounge furniture and a bedroom suite and various accessories from Bradfords. To put it briefly we had numerous problems with quality and lack of service including from the MD at the time. We resolved never to give them any more of our business. Just today we weakened and decided to give them another chance. We attempted to purchase an item we had seen on their Facebook online sale and which we had discussed with the salesperson in store 2 weeks ago. We were told that they had made a mistake with the pricing and it was now $400 more. There was absolutely no attempt to remedy the outcome of their mistake or recognise our good faith attempt to purchase the item. The salesperson lady who had only just joined Bradford was embarrassed and sought the support of her manager. His indifference and arrogance was beyond belief and almost confrontational. He contacted the MD whose attitude was equally non customer focussed. It is amazing that this business is still trading when our experience now on 2 out of 2 occasions and other reviews would indicate a complete indifference to the customer. Read moreUnfortunately, the furniture I purchased arrived damaged which of course was very disappointing, however the worst was yet to come. The after sales service was poor at best and because of this, I won't buy from this company again. They don't stand by their products. The sales process was very smooth and Bernadette was very helpful however a different department dealt with damaged goods and the after sales service was not great. When I followed up after not hearing back from them and I finally managed to get put through to the person dealing with the issue, they gave me no choices around options to put things right or offered a replacement. They said a furniture repair person would be in touch to arrange for the damaged brand new furniture to be repaired! News to me and not what I would expect for brand new furniture, no options given, I was TOLD he will call me at some stage. Had I been given options, we may have been able to work out a better solution. Bradfords are not customer focused or solution focused, they chose an option that suited them, not me the customer. The senior man was supposed to come out twice to view the furniture damaged through a fire. so he could advise on replacement, and on both occasions he did not bother to come as arranged nor did he bother to let us know that we are waiting in vain. There is no point asking staff because it was the man in charge who let me down twice, and not just once, by not turning up as arranged, at a time when we were obtaining quotes for replacement of furniture..
