A Gem in Napier: Fairley Motor Lodge Exceeds Expectations!
Our recent stay at Fairley Motor Lodge in Napier was absolutely fantastic and truly enhanced our Hawke's Bay adventure. From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the warm welcome and the outstanding level of service from the friendly staff.
The lodge boasts a prime location that's hard to beat. Situated at Westshore Beach, it offers the perfect balance of peaceful seaside tranquility with incredibly easy access to everything Napier and the wider Hawke's Bay region has to offer. We loved being able to take leisurely strolls along the beach, explore the unique Ahuriri Estuary, and then be just a short drive from Napier's vibrant Art Deco CBD and the charming cafes and galleries of Ahuriri. Plus, being right on the Hawke's Bay Cycle Trails was a huge bonus – we enjoyed some scenic rides with stunning coastal and vineyard views.
Our unit was a true haven of comfort. Spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully appointed, it felt like a home away from home. The luxurious Super King bed with quality linen ensured a perfect night's sleep, and the inclusion of a double spa bath was a delightful touch, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring. We particularly appreciated the private, sunny courtyard – a lovely spot for a morning coffee or an evening drink.
The amenities at Fairley Motor Lodge are excellent. The free, unlimited Wi-Fi was a huge plus, and having Sky Select 50+ channels meant there was always something to watch. The well-equipped kitchenette made it easy to prepare light meals, though with so many fantastic restaurants within walking distance or offering charge-back facilities, we were spoilt for choice! The quiet location, despite its proximity to attractions, truly made for a peaceful stay.
What truly sets Fairley Motor Lodge apart, however, is the genuine hospitality of the team. They went above and beyond to offer local recommendations and ensure our stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Their personal touch and sense of humor made us feel truly valued. For anyone seeking exceptional accommodation in Napier, whether for a relaxing getaway, a cycling holiday, or exploring the region's culinary delights and wineries, Fairley Motor Lodge is an absolute must-stay. We can't recommend it highly enough and will certainly be returning on our next visit to Napier!

Read moreThis place is an immaculately clean sanctuary where the true hospitality and generosity of provisions make a huge difference. By far the best sleep I’ve ever had on the road. Our bed was huge! My partner is over 6ft and he loved it. The sheets are cotton and breathe well. The blankets are cozy and there are loads of plush pillows. The room was quite large and we even had a little private courtyard. I cannot overstate how incredibly clean absolutely everything is - every draw, every edge, every single corner. The staff do an outstanding job. Everything is so generous about this place - no mean corner cutting. From the conditioner to the cutlery everything is good quality and you want for nothing. The bathroom is also good - ours was wetroom style, had great shower pressure and a gorgeous spa - it was extremely well ventilated. We had a brilliant time here and would recommend it to anyone. The owners are really lovely also - thank you Jane and Hugh. Even the art on the walls is decent. The only single flaw would be there were slat blinds on the tall window by the door next to the bed which meant light comes in very easily in the morning and I like blackout curtains to sleep. Other than that - everything is outstanding at a very...
Read moreVery comfortable bed and clean room. Although the room was very hot and aircon was too loud to leave on all night ... so perhaps a vent in window to allow fresh air but not the bugs coming in would be a good idea. Spa was relaxing and a very decent price for the room at $205. The fridge froze our drinks and was very loud also woke us up in the middle of the night.. The toilet cycten was well past its best before date and was crumbling apart.. also the seat on toilet would benefit on being a soft close seat as it kept droping down and banging and was loud enough to startle me and wake us up in the middle of the night. Also one chair in the room was bent forward and uncomfortable to sit on.. room 16.. lovely polite customer service at reception and easy access.. enjoyable overall stay. Thankyou. Great selection of complimentary beverages and coffees.. funny mis matched cutlery and glasses....
