I was a little disheartened when we came here a couple of weeks ago as we walked in the door and instead of being greeted properly my partner and best friend were instantly asked to take their hats off. It came across rude and a bit abrupt but they listened and did what they were asked. When we left I called and spoke to someone who said it was their policy and seemed very apologetic about how it came across. we let it go until we drove past later and saw a table full wearing caps and felt instant disappointment. My partner and best friend are both Polynesian and my heart dropped. My partner went in to confront the team who responded with their policy about no hats “if you are going to play on the pokies”. Again controversial as it showed they made the assumption we were going to the pokies when we first walked in and this wasn’t mentioned on the phone. I wasn’t going to make a review but since this experience I have spoken to people who have also felt the same stereotype against them and people should be made more aware that these experiences are hurtful and should not be happening. I hope this business can learn from...

We recently dined at Kork & Barrell and overall had a pleasant experience. Despite the option to sit outside near the noisy street, we chose to sit inside by the window for a partial view. The server was prompt in taking our drink and food orders.

I opted for the catch of the day, expecting a delicate dish, but was surprised by a hearty man-sized portion. Three sizable fish fillets atop a generous serving of oversized cauliflower, broccoli, carrot, and a scoop risotto. The fish was perfectly cooked, and I focused on savoring the delicious fish. My husband enjoyed the fish and chips, accompanied by a side salad with an oriental dressing which he found very good. Our friend ordered the combo pizza with a thin crust, and he seemed to thoroughly enjoy it.

The service we received was outstanding, with our server being attentive and friendly throughout our entire meal. The interior atmosphere was peaceful since there weren't many patrons inside the restaurant/bar; most customers opted for outdoor seating. Additionally, the noise from the street was minimal, contributing to a calm and enjoyable...

Took my wife here for her birthday and it was an amazing place to eat.

We ordered off the tapas menu which had a great selection. We probably needed a bigger table though. All the food was delivered pretty promptly, looked great, and tasted as good as it looked.

The restaurant is kid friendly, with a children's menu which has puzzles and pictures to colour in to keep them entertained. If that's not enough the location is in a great place so you can just take the youngsters outside to run around or look at the boats on the water.

A word of warning though if you have toddlers, or kid that don't eat huge amounts, the meals on the kids menu are huge. The burger was a bit too big for our 4 year, and I think she was a bit intimidated because of it. She still had plenty to eat though as she helped her younger sister with her fettuccini, and also enjoyed some of the tapas on offer.

The staff were very friendly and make you feel welcome. The kitchen is visible from the dining room, so you can watch the fantastic chefs work their magic. The chefs are also...

We had a lovely meal - it was a proper slap up dinner and a bottle of wine for a reasonable price. The food was good in general! The mussels were a little small, the chicken wings were decent enough and the market fish was really delightful! They were sadly out of calamari but that probably means it’s only served fresh. There were only two of us but they let us sit in this cozy corner booth which made a huge difference - it was brilliant. We were served by Shivani who was really lovely, attentive and very kind with all my dietary particularities. The bathroom is interesting - you walk out through ramshackle corridors through a warehouse out the back as I believe they must be extending. It’s no big deal though - interesting if anything!
