Curbside Coffee & Bagels — Restaurant in South Island

In the same vicinity as the best burrito and good chicken wings, this coffee and bagel shop opens in the morning and sports a long queue when we visited around 10 on a weekday. The queue does move pretty quickly, and orders are prepped rather promptly too.

🥯 the hash bagel was pretty good, bagel was pretty soft which should be the same for all their bagels, and the fillings were good though not wow. It’s pretty pricey for what it was though it was enough for 2 of us for a light breakfast.

☕ the coffee was similarly bitter, as with all that we tried in NZ so far, but lacking that aroma i was looking for, but a solid drink nonetheless.

An absolute gem of a place in the light industrial area of Wanaka. The caravan itself is a tribute to all that is good about being small, perfectly formed and totally charming. The coffee is smooth and delicious and the food looked very yummy. We enjoyed the Breakfast Bagel so much we came back the next day! I ordered without aioli since I'm not a fan of mayo, and the sandwich was still not dry at all thanks to the juicy bacon and tomato relish. I don't usually even try bagels outside of the New York City area, but I could tell from looking at these that they would be worth a try.
