The View Tekapo — Hotel in South Island

Amazing views from every part of this apartment. Spectacular location with a short 7ish minute walk to town, and the balcony has stunning views of the lake and surrounding mountains. I'm so glad all the bedrooms look out to the views, and waking up to it every morning was surreal. Not to mention, the balcony is the perfect place to stargaze come dark. Overall, the property is intelligently designed, extremely comfortable, and delivers superb value for money. We loved our time here and are already looking forward to returning.

Only issues: The heating racks in the bathroom didn't seem to work, and one night, the water in the shower kept moving from hot...

Absolutely loved our stay in The View West! We stayed 4 nights and were lucky enough to get snow on our second, it was a beautiful place to stay, very warm and cosy inside when it was snowing! The view from our bedroom really was incredible, we loved being able to wake up to the best view in New Zealand. The bedroom and bathrooms are tasteful and classy, and the lounge has a warm fire place to keep the place cosy in winter! A pleasure to stay in. Arrived for late check-in at night and they conveniently placed a welcome pack with detailed instructions in a pick up location after their office hours. Place is really spacious. Verandah and view is one of the highlights of the place. It faces the sunrise and you can watch the sunrise from just sitting in your bedroom. Can sit here all day along just admiring the view. We came just before winter and was kept quite warm with its really nice looking gas fire place, heating on some parts of the floor and another wall...
