Billy the Bard — Attraction in South Island

Definitely something you should do if you're in Lake Tekapo. Billy is really knowledgeable, warm and makes star gazing even more interesting, pointing out stars and constellations in English and Maori with an epic laser pointer, telling folklore stories and getting you to sing along with him to the moon and stars. Not sure if the meeting point is always the same, but we met where there are a circle of benches to the right of the park (if you're facing the water). Listen...

We were lucky enough to be in town for Billy's show. It was highly entertaining and good fun snuggling up by the fire and listening to some local stories. The drums were super cool.
