Unfortunately the worst hotel of our trip so far. The receptionists were very friendly and welcoming. We unexpectedly got a very large business room with two (dirty) balconies, which would have a nice view if there weren't one cruise ship after the other coming in. Those ships come in till late at night and arrive early in the morning, running their engines constantly and making announcements. The food was mediocre, the service people were nice in their words, but made a very cranky and annoyed impression with how they thumped through the room and smashed the plates on the table. Breakfast is yet to come, but I don't expect much. Worst night in a long time, due to bad windows and lots of noise outside. Also, the bathroom was so dirty that we decided not to shower here. The curtains are covering the heaters, which is a huge fire hazard. The curtains already show signs of charring. Edit: Breakfast had the usual selection plus a nice variety of gluten free options. Unfortunately the scrambled eggs were liquid and the ones sunny side up...
Read moreThis was my second time in Norway and we had some issues booking another hotel through booking.com! This hotel was open and helpful to us when we needed somewhere to stay. The free breakfast is amazing, the rooms are spacious and the service is friendly. I will say that we are a couple and had to push two single beds together and we kept falling through the middle. The only way to cool the room is for the window to be open and the seagulls can get very loud. There was also a very strong smell coming from the drain or toilet and it’s probably a build up of gas. I’m not sure. Once we ran the water, it went away. Overall, it’s a good place to stay for a few days or a week! The flowers outside the hotel were beautiful. All hotels and places to stay in Norway would benefit from having darkening curtains that fully darken the room as dark as it can get in the...
Read moreNot worth it for the price, possibly even any price. Tiny room, tiny bed, horrible view. We ordered a room that is supposed to have a "large double bed" and recieved two tiny single beds topped with two tiny single mattresses and seperate toppers shoved together, not even secured together on ANY level, and we kept falling through the middle of them. This is NOT a "bed" suitable to give to customers who order a room with a large double bed. No mini fridge, no kettle or tea or coffee facilities in room. No ventilation in room - switch for the extraction fan in bathroom has been removed and it cannot be switched on. No way to open window, therefore no ventilation in room from showering. We had to park in a random car park down the street because the hotel had no parking left on site for paying guests. Would...
