I had the unfortunate experience of visiting Biryani Master for the second time, this time at their branch on Mall Road in Lahore. To my disappointment, it was a carbon copy of my previous visit. The lack of staff to take orders, minuscule portion sizes of their specialized chicken biryani, cold shami tikki, and the absence of tissues were all recurring issues. Additionally, the high price of the dish did not match its quality or quantity (Rs. 380 single plate). Unfortunately, it became evident that Biryani Master's shortcomings were consistent across both branches.
In addition to the numerous disappointments during my visit to Biryani Master's Barkat Market branch, I also observed a lack of attention to basic restaurant etiquette. The staff failed to collect the ordering book and price pamphlets from our table throughout the entire duration of our dinner. This further highlighted their negligence and lack of professionalism. It is essential for a restaurant to maintain cleanliness and promptly remove unnecessary items from the dining area. This oversight only added to the overall negative experience at Biryani Master. I strongly advise against dining at Biryani Master if you're seeking a satisfying biryani experience; there are better options...
Read moreI recently visited Biryani Master, a restaurant that has been on my radar for quite some time. Here's my honest review:
The taste of the food, particularly their signature biryanis, was undoubtedly the highlight of my visit. The flavors were rich, aromatic, and well-balanced. I opted for the chicken biryani, and it did not disappoint.
The atmosphere was average, nothing too fancy or impressive. The decor was simple, and the seating area was clean and well-maintained. However, it lacked a unique character that would set it apart from other restaurants.
The service, unfortunately, was a major letdown. Our server seemed disinterested and took ages to take our orders. Even after repeated requests, it took a long time to receive our food. The staff seemed overwhelmed, and it felt like they were struggling to keep up with the demand.
Overall, while the taste of the food was impressive, the subpar service and average atmosphere prevented me from having a truly enjoyable experience. If Biryani Master can work on improving their service, I would be more than happy to revisit and revise my rating.
Recommended for: Foodies looking for delicious biryanis, but be prepared for average service.
Will I return?: Maybe, if they improve...
Read moreOverall, my experience with Master Biryani has always been good, as I am a regular customer. However, today I am extremely disappointed with the service at your Mall Road branch.
We couldn’t even enjoy our meal because of the rude and offensive behavior of one of your staff members (a girl working at the branch). The place where we were asked to sit was messy, and something had spilled on the floor that was sticking to our shoes. Naturally, we decided to move to another clean spot.
But instead of assisting us, the staff member very rudely said “Kahaan, yahan serve nahi kar saktay” and instructed us to sit only in the messy area. My family and I felt disrespected and decided to leave without eating.
Unfortunately, this is not the first time—during my last visit, the same staff (Girl) member behaved in a similarly unprofessional manner. At that time, I ignored it, but today it was very insulting.
I really appreciate Master Biryani’s food and overall service, but customer respect and professional behavior are equally important. I understand staff can get exhausted due to workload, but that should never result in disrespect towards customers.
I hope you will take this matter seriously so that such incidents do not...
