Warning, your booking for this hotel may get cancelled without you knowing.||We booked to stay here and had one of the worst hotel experiences of our lives, largely because of the rudest manager ever named Gustavo, who verbally assaulted us. We turned up after dark (having spent the whole day travelling) and Gustavo had given our room away. Not impressed. But that wasn’t the worst thing by far - he did have an alternative option - another hotel down the road. After making us wait for 30 minutes then a 20 minute walk, he showed us into what can only be described as a building site. ||The reception area was bare concrete and dust, totally unsafe and there was builders dust and tools everywhere, we were shown to a room, told we would not be getting breakfast the next morning because the hotel wasn’t finished yet. He clearly wanted to seize the opportunity of our having no other options to take advantage and make some extra cash, even though no one should have ever been allowed to stay there. ||Having no other choice, we endured two nights, both of which were noisy and filled with outside light and builders everywhere at all times of day. The last straw was when we came back to find our door wide open and a builder cutting a mirror on our bed!! Leaving shards of sharp glass everywhere, on the bed and the floor as well as all over our stuff. And this was after we had specifically requested they not let anyone into our room as we were worried about all the builders coming and going. ||Needless to say we phoned Gustavo and explained that this was unacceptable and we would be leaving without paying, upon which he threatened us and was incredibly verbally abusive. I would never trust this man or stay in any hotel he is associated with. If you want a hotel reservation that is guaranteed to stand when you arrive then I strongly recommend you...

Read moreWe chose this hotel through our tour agency as we were only staying for one night, basically coming late in the night and leaving early morning towards the Colca Canion.||||Pro's || elevator - as funny as it will seem last thing you want is carry your trolleys up the stairs at the 4th floor or even up|| hot water - yes they had hot water even at 10.30 PM when we arrived and enough for 2 people to take long showers without going cold || decently spacious rooms - coming from Europe you are accustomed to small rooms even in better rated and more expensive hotels so from my point of view our double room was big enough to move around and open 2 luggage|| working Wi-fi - didn't have any issues with the connection||||Con's || outdated furniture - when you open the door the furniture and the smell of it is not quite welcoming and same comment goes for the bathroom|| weird water prices - we bought a water bottle in the evening however next day in the morning before leaving when we wanted to buy one more the guy at the reception was asking double the price saying the price in the hotel is more than the one on the bottle. Felt a bit like he was trying to rip us off so ended up not buying anything||||All in all not the place you would normally go and stay for your one week vacation, maybe not even 2 nights however for our overnight stay just to get some sleep was a good choice. Centrally, decent value but definitely not somewhere where I would like to return. ||||If you are looking for an ok place to spend the night while only passing through Arequipa this might be a solution if your budget is...
