If you like your sleep, don’t stay here If you want value for your money, don’t stay here If you want a decent breakfast where the additional milk for your coffee isn’t 2/s and you actually eat something decent, don’t stay here There is a nightclub that blasts music all night everyday until 5h30 am, we stayed in room 21 which is next to the reception, very unprofessional decision to allow guest to stay there as it faces the nightclub. The facilities in the room are neglected, the office chair is broken and the soundproofing is useless. That room is also just behind the reception so you hear the reception bell and nightclub if that isn’t enough to turn you down and destroy your night sleep. They provide you ear plugs but they are useless and cheap so you will still hear the noise. We initially booked 5 nights but canceled everything after the first night of no sleep and went somewhere decent. For the price of the night, you can easily find somewhere better and get a good experience of...
Read moreThe hostel itself is fine. The beds were comfortable, the rooms fine, if a little conventlike due to the small size of the room and lack of windows.
Earplugs were on the bedside table which should have been the giveaway. The hostel is opposite several nightclubs that play music until 7am. Not kidding. Then at 4.30am the taxis start their competition of who can beep for the longest, the loudest and the most annoying.
We ventured out at 8am, and the streets were dead. They were also covered in vomit. Safe to say this town is a party town, so not exactly what we were after.
The hostel itself is lovely. The rooftop is cute, it has a great view of the mountains and the breakfast is super good. The hostel is close to the monastery and the plaza de armas. So, overall, I would rate the hostel highly, but the lack of sleep over the two nights put a slight dampener on travelling with 15 tired, frustrated people. Maybe it was just because it was the weekend....
Read moreWe as two people stayed at the hotel for two days. Our room was very dirty and also too much noisy as also mentioned in every comment. Towels were not enough, hair-dry was not existed. If you want to dry your hair, you should want it from staff every time. The bathroom, generally room was very small. We couldn’t even move. Breakfast was not enough. Only hotel’s location was wonderful and our room’s balcony was looking at the old colonial streets. We don’t recommend this hotel if you are not young enough and coming with a family. Our assumption is that previously it was a hostel and returned to two star hotel. Because there were 3 different reading lamps on the wall. Things that provided by alleged two star hotel is not sufficient to become two star hotel. They should have better stayed as hostel. Before making reservation, you should think twice. Except location it was...
