Great idea to do if you are in Arequipa.

General overview: Center of the city. Gives you a view of the cathedral when it’s closed to the public. So less people.

A tour around the museum looking at old religious bits. Fairly interesting

The history of the earthquake that meant they had to rebuild some of the church.

Rooftop view of the city and the 3 volcanos.

Practical bits:

Cash only tickets 10sol per person

Also strong recommended that you pay the guide - others have said 5 sol. We have 5USD for two, as we did not have any sol at the time. (they make a bit of a point about saying they are not paid, and rely on tips) If you get a good guide, which we did, and just 4 of us in the group. Really good tour.

Recommended even just for the...

Very good tour. Can tell the guide really loved her job, tip at the end. Tour was full of information and history about the church and city.

So many parts of the church and artifacts inside came from all over the world. The devil pulpit was the most interesting I think. They don't know how much the gold and silver pieces are worth, and that's the area where no photos are allowed.

The tour took a bit over 1 hour and guide spoke very good English and Spanish. Tours every 10 minutes or so.

As someone who's not religious, this was the most interesting church visit...
