Tried to book 2 months prior but, rooms were not available but when asked about the tours, Linda said they won't take online payments, and will have to pay in cash. Although we had a different itinerary, we changed it according to their availability because of their "reviews". We arranged a different place for accommodation, but planned to go with Linda's tours. I asked multiple times to confirm if that's okay, and she said our seat is reserved for the tour & just have to finalize the payment. Months went by, and we're in Peru. We were supposed to meet Linda the day before our first tour. This is when a man claimed to be Linda's husband contacting me describing where we can meet. I kept telling them I'm just arriving from Puno, I have luggages with me, so either you have to meet me right when I arrive which was 5:30 or you'll have to wait for me to check-in to my stay and I'll come to your location. So they asked to schedule the meeting at 7pm. Looking in google maps and travel times, I said 'okay'. We had to wait half an hour outside in the cold to meet the person with the key to our stay (which is a different booking, not with Linda's house Cusco). When they opened the room, the place was a disaster, and we had to leave the place. I asked Linda if there's any last minute cancelation or any rooms available to which she said 'no'. By this time it was already 6:55pm. My head was already spinning because of the altitude sickness. Linda's husband kept calling us to see if we're close. I was trying to explain my situation and he started yelling, this is at 7:15. He started blaming me for wasting his time. I apologized and asked him to try to understand our situation, but he hang up the phone. Next was Linda's turn. She texted me saying all of our reservations will be canceled because I didn't show up for the meeting. I tried to tell them I'll meet you wherever they want, but they just ignore everything. Linda said sorry for the inconvenience and she said she'll try to convince her husband. We were trying to find an accomodation at the same time. Finally when we got a place to stay by 9pm. By this time Linda texted me saying her husband said okay and asked us where we're staying, so that they can try to come meet us. I said we're too tired from all of these, we are at 'X' hotel & shared our location on WhatsApp. I said if it's too much for you to do that, we'll cancel the first day from our reservations. She then said 'okay' and we made an arrangement to meet the next day evening. But then the next day, by noon Linda texted me saying they're on their way to Machu Picchu and won't be back until the day after. So they'll have to cancel everything and said good luck with everything in Cusco. I was really disappointed and wanted to tell them that this wasn't a pleasant experience for me like all the" reviews". But when I texted them the message didn't go through and realized they had me blocked on WhatsApp, which was our mode of communication.
Key Concerns: Poor communication, inflexibility, unprofessional behavior, and unreliable booking policies.
Recommendation: Travelers seeking reliable and customer-centric services should explore alternative options in Cusco. Linda House Cusco's prioritization of their own convenience over customer satisfaction is alarming.

Read moreIf you want to feel like at home stay at Linda House Cusco. The building is located just out of the city center with a nice view of the city. We were walking back, going by bus (1 sol per person 1 way, bus stop just in front of the building) and by taxi and it all functioned perfectly. In the first floor there is a shop with friendly prices with fresh fruit, vegetables, cheese, bread or anything else you might need to use in shared kitchen. The apartment is isolated from the noice. Everything is clean and new, the breakfast is solid with fresh smoothie. We booked Salkantay treck and some other day trips with them and everything was as we agreed. The owners go extra mile to make you feel welcome and if in Cusco book this accommodation, you...
Read moreEdson and Linda (the owners) are really nice people who welcome you with open arms. I stayed in Linda House for my entire stay in Cusco (9 nights) and booked the Salkantay Trek through the Hostel. The Salkantay Trek is the highlight of my time in Peru and everything was really well organized and the price is unbeatable.
The rooms in Linda House are all very nice, comfortable and have everything you need. The included breakfast is also good. The check-in/check-out, payment and extending/altering the stay was super easy and straightforward. Even though Linda House is not in the City center (10 minutes by car) it‘s easy and cheap to go there by bus or taxi, so I never had a problem with that. I can recommend staying...
