I stayed here for just over a month and had a great experience. The host, Susan, and her family were incredibly friendly and welcoming. Susan was especially very sweet and patient with my limited Spanish, which I really appreciated.
They even invited me to join a family gathering during my stay, which made me feel right at home. When there was a small issue with the room lighting, it was fixed immediately, and any questions I had were answered right away.
The water pipe had a bit of a smell, but they let me know in advance and did their best to minimize it. From what I understand, that’s fairly common in Cusco.
The room could get a little cold and there was no heater, but again, that seems to be typical for the area, and I got used to it after a few days.
The location is slightly uphill from the center, but I found it within walking distance, quiet, and close to my Spanish school. Since I love walking, it was also perfect for morning walks to Mirador de San Cristóbal or Cristo Blanco. Ubers had no problem getting to the house.
They also had a laundry machine and a place to hang clothes to dry, which was really helpful for my long stay.
