Has a great view but its ruined by all the smokers and their cigarettes, most cabs have a hard time finding it. Every small store in the area short changed me and gave me that look of blank you what are you going to do... The room I had was nice I think they overcharged me after I talked to other people, the bathroom was so moldy and it was black mold, the bedroom had mold on the roof, the shower was either over hot or not hot enough but sometimes nice... They charged 2 people less then me a one person... I'm one person I use half the electric half the water and gas, I was offended. The whole tourist industry seems to be very crooked and try will take the shirt off your back if they think you'll give it. They are always like its the season, then you talk to someone else and they charged them less. Nice view decent reception, nice little kitchen, I could have gotten more for what I paid, but the view wouldn't be as great, but I wouldn't have been sick for so long because the mold and cigarettes. Great place if you drink alcohol and smoke and want a view. The view is above average, service not bad, I think like 100usd less on my bill would have been fair because of all the black mold and cigarettes. Reception was nice... What ive learned from my time in cusco... Don't be nice or cool, they treat the Aholes better never tip if you tip they give you less quality service and just try to up-charge everything. I was short changed by old ladies at the stores...
Read moreI stayed in Piuray for 5 nights with a friend of mine and we loved it!||Mostly because the staff was totally attentive, helpful and nice but also because our room was big, spacious, comfy and with an amazing view.||The breakfast are served on the terrace with a breathtaking view of Cusco. the food is abundant, eggs, crepes, bread, jam, juices... everything you need to have a good day. ||The shower was hot and all the facilities were clean.||Moreover, it is well located, only 10min walk from the main plaza but far enough to enjoy the less touristy restaurants Cusco has. ||||We went on the Salkantay Trekk during 5 days and we could leave our big bags at the hostel which was really convenient and it felt like coming home when we came back from the trek.||I would definitely recommend...
Read moreWe have spent in total about a week at this hostel before and after our Salkantay Trek. We especially liked the great hospitality as our host was always open to answer any questions and made us feel very welcome. We stayed in three different rooms with private bathroom and always appreciated the cleanliness and large space for putting our stuff. The only downside was that all rooms had only small windows and almost no sunlight - but in fact, we did not regret that as the small windows helped to keep away the cold during the night. Enjoying the breakfast at the terrace with a wonderful view over Cusco was a major plus. The breakfast was good but could be improved with better bread. The hostel is not right in the city center but we did not mind...
