Hotel Carmel — Hotel in Lima Metropolitan Area

Excellent location with lots of restaurants/eateries and markets around. If one wants to be like local people, bus stations are also very close.|Staff is very friendly and everyone is eager to help. Particularly the reception manager Pilar is extremely nice who patiently answered our questions and showed us the directions to the markets and the bus station. Pilar also let us use her bus card so we don't have to buy the card. We had leisure times Lima so we went in/out of the hotel many times during our stay. Every time we passed by the lobby, Pilar would always hail to us enthusiastically.|Good bedding, adequate breakfast, quite and spacious room, safe and frige useful for people staying more than one or two days.|We read from some previous reviews about noise from street and requested a quite room. Of course you hear cars, people and music!||That is why you book a hotel in the center.||If you want silence?||Do not go to ány hotel in Miraflores!!||That is impossible.||||All you need this hotel has: rooms are ok, fridge, shower is ok and beds are fine with great pillows.||The breakfast was disappointing: it was all finished by the time I got there because there was a group. Op Peru gevlogen met KLM vanuit Amsterdam. Lokale tijd landing om 18:00, na douane en tassen te hebben opgehaald (60 minuten tijd) in klein uurtje door druk verkeer naar Miraflores gereden.||Hotel is een standaard flatgebouw.|Locatie is erg prettig, 2 minuten lopen van rotonde waar de twee belangrijkste straten van Miraflores. Erg prettig dus als stadshotel van een rondreis waar je alles in de buurt wilt hebben om je reis te starten, zonder veel tijd kwijt te zijn aan rondlopen en zoeken.||Banken (ATM/pinautomaat) supermarkt, diverse restaurants, (zowel fastfood als gewone restaurants), apotheken, warenhuizen liggen allemaal binnen maximaal 5 minuten lopen op deze twee straten.||De kamer is voorzien van twee relatief kleine tweepersoonsbedden. Voldoende dekens en kussens.|Alles is schoon zoals het hoort.|Kamer zou iets gezelliger/sfeervoller kunnen worden voorzien van paar mooie foto's.||Airco, kluisje, TV, zitje met twee stoelen. Kamer heeft enkele beglazing. Toen wij er waren in juli was het fris op de kamer. Voldoende plek om koffers neer te zetten.||De nette schone badkamer ziet er met licht beige natuursteen fraai uit. Douchen moet zoal in heel veel hotels helaas in bad. Wel een goede stevige beugel aan de muur die in en uitstappen vergemakkelijkt. Temperatuur van het water is wat lastig in te stellen. Al snel te koud of te heet. Kleinigheidje.Veel condens in de badkamer. Ook dit is gezien de ligging aan zee goed te verklaren.||Ontbijt is ruim voldoende. Lekker koffie, thee diverse verse vruchtensappen, wat vers fruit, |gekluts ei, ham/kaas/jam en yogurt.|Meer heb je eigenlijk niet nodig. ||Lobby en plaats van het ontbijt zijn sfeervol genoeg. Receptie kan een extra lampje gebruiken.||Al met al een fijn betaalbaar hotel om een reis te starten...
