I am redoing my review to be more clear.||||I traveled to Lima and stayed with Tinkus Inn once again. My party had the same room on the first floor, I had my room on the second floor but a different room.||||I traveled at the end of March and beginning of April. Most of it during April.||Things have changed. Apparently the owner has another property and the people who were left are not doing a good job. Things have changed since last time I was here.||||Wifi was complete garbage, when my laptop was working on the desk in my room, wifi stopped working.||||A few days later it works when my laptop is on my bed (on the other side from the desk). This could be explained by Tinkus having one wireless device for one side of the floor and the other side had a different wireless device.||||Just above the desk there was a window to the inside of the hotel. ||||I read that they are trying to be more environmentally conscious, yet they left me a new small bar of soap and shampoo every day. both in plastic packages. The soap could of been used for 2 or 3 days. I had the room to myself.||||Towels were ok.||||The washroom was horrible. When I sat on the toilet to do my business, my knees were touching the wall on the other side.||||There was a couple of mini shelves on the shower, I guess to put your soap or shampoo...I found a long brown hair. I shave my head so it is not mine.||||The toilets are beyond horrible, they get stuck and overflow even if you put ONE single piece of toilet paper.||I had to resort to put the toilet paper I used to wipe myself on the little garbage can beside the toilet.||||So if I go at 9pm, that smelly toilet paper will be in the little garbage can overnight until the cleaning lady cleans my room, at sometime between 9am and 11am (not saying anything bad about the times).||||The breakfast was nothing special, fruit or eggs. I honestly can get that here at home. Something Peruvian would of been nice.||||They have a flyer on the main area about laundry services. They don't really have it, it seems that it is external as last time I went I had to pay to get my clothes back from the laundry service. I couldn't put it on my bill, like it would happen in the hundreds of hotels I stayed all over the world, I pay my room service, laundry service and so forth when I check out. Apparently you can't do that in Tinkus Inn.||||There is NO lunch or dinner by the way. However you are one block away from Ovalo Miraflores.||||Someone, left me an angry comment on my instagram account regarding my original comment (which is almost same as this one), I deleted and came back here to redo my comment. I don't think I should be contacted by this Inn owner (or anyone related to them, or any friend of the owner).||||||Their pipes burst overnight, Their toilet system needs to be replaces.||There should of been a towel on the floor, if you come out of the shower, you can slip. Something I did. Floor is slippery on the shower.||||The room had a fan, the room was so stuffy, if I turn on the fan to cool off the room, I have to put up with the noise which means I can't sleep. I turn off the fan then it means I can't sleep due to the stuffiness of the room. I don't think the room had air conditioning.||||The Tinkus is not really for families by the way, all there is...sleeping and eating breakfast. Not worth the money that was paid for. I am not going to ever stay here again, around the corner there are 3 or 4 hotels which are better...
Read moreI had another fantastic experience at Tinkus Inn! I was most impressed when I arrived, since I have stayed here before I was welcomed with a Pisco Sour - an excellent Peruvian drink. ||||Everybody is amazing in the hotel, Cristian, in reception, is super helpful in giving directions and makes you feel very welcome. Ruth prepares a very nice breakfast including fresh tropical fruit salad, eggs on toast and the best coffee I've had in a long time!||||The Wi-Fi during my first time here was fast, but its even faster now. I think they have installed 2 routers on each floor, within close reach to all the rooms. I stayed in a single room (304) and the Wi-Fi was super fast! ||||My room was very comfortable and kept very clean. The shower works good with hot water. It has a new soundproof (almost) window, which is easy to open and close. Apparently they are going to install these windows in the other rooms that face the street. The traffic on the street isn't that bad anyway to be honest.||||The hotel is centrally located in Miraflores, with restaurants, bars and shops very close - which is one of the reasons I stayed here. I would return...
Read moreOver priced for what you get. The room was clean but very small. The bathroom was tiny. The hotel didn't have any facilities that you normally get when you pay $50-$70 a night at a hotel. The included breakfast was small and plain and we had to wait a long time to get milk with our coffee because there was only one person. This hotel is very basic and not worth what you pay as there are, many hotels in that area for the same price that offer better rooms, deals and facilities. The location is great but as I said the hotels in the surrounding area are the same price and much better. We stayed one night and then switched to a...
