Hotel El Plaza — Hotel in Lima Metropolitan Area

We stayed at hotel El Plaza for a week during the first week of May 2023. The hotel itself is step away from Plaza San Martin, across the street of Bolivar Hotel. The hotel was very ,clean the bed were comfy and the staff are very friendly, very helpful and very kind. All the historic sites are within walking distances. Restaurants, cafés, bars, supermarket etc... It is indeed a very noisy place but this is Lima and that's the way it is. You would hear the same noise at Bolivar Hotel and other hotels in the historic center. I would suggest that you bring ear plugs, like I always do. It is not a luxury hotel but good enough to spend the week and value for what you pay. Beside we spend the days outside, combing back to drop our shopping bags and out we went again. ||There is a piano bar/restaurant at the hotel where you can grab a bite and have a nice glass of Pisco Sour while listening to nice music.||The staffs are the best. Always smiling and always very helpful. Basically they are the one who runs the hotel , without them the hotel won't be the same. I would like to thank Dana, Adrian, Humberto, Nati, Estafani for their kindness, they are the BEST. Location cannot be better, if you plan on visiting the areas of interest in Cercado de Lima this is the right choice. TEATRO MUNICIPAL DE LIMA, all mayor plazas and the most famos street "Jiron de la Union is steps away...two lines of metropolitan nearby....and all the tourist traps around Plaza San Martin.Thanks to Dana! L'hotel è molto datato e incredibilmente sporco! Sarà pure non troppo caro e ben posizionato, ma davvero lasciate ogni speranza voi che entrate! ||||La nota più positiva è la posizione dell'hotel che si trova infatti a pochi metri da plaza San Martin, ottimo punto per visitare il centro di Lima a piedi. ||||L'hotel è dei più classici, anche se molto vecchio. Si tratta di una struttura indipendente su una decina di piani, tutta a vetri. Le stanze, noi eravamo quasi tutti tra ottavo e nono piano, sono molto spartane con arredamento molto vecchio e trascurato. La cosa più inquietante è la pulizia, il letto era pieno di macchie, luce scarsa, il pavimento molto trascurato e il bagno in condizioni pessime. La sera mancava l'acqua calda. A 2 persone che viaggiavano nel mio gruppo sono venute delle bolle dopo aver dormito in quest'hotel! Inaccettabile!||La stanza dava sulla strada, una delle principali di Lima e per tutta la notte si sente il rumore dei clacson delle auto. Come se non bastasse c'erano delle scolaresche che facevano un casino infernale.
