Kamana Hotel — Hotel in Lima Metropolitan Area

I feel this hotel is overpriced. This place is okay for 1-2 nights.

Great location - The hotel is about 4 blocks, a 10-15 walk to the Plaza. There's a small convenience store across the hotel.

Good customer service at the hotel - The staff was helpful and breakfast was good, two scrambled eggs with ham, bread, fruit, coffee, tea, Peruvian Grits (avena), and bottled yogurt drink.

Our room felt really cold at night. There is hot water in the morning. For an evening shower, I had turned on the hot water and let it run for over 10 minutes. The water went from cold to almost warm.

The first set of towels were not really clean. The shower floor was slippery like it hadn't been scrubbed.

Our room and balcony faced the street, so the noise from the street could be heard in the room.

And we made a reservation through Whatsapp, when we arrived at the hotel, the receptionist was unable to find it. We previously booked a taxi through the hotel for airport pickup, no one showed up. We negotiated a late night taxi for 77 soles...

This hotel is very basic and modest, but is situated in a great location very close to the great historic centre and other shops and supermarket.||The staff at the reception was very polite and trusting- The hotel looks more like a hostel- very basic but clean.||Good WiFi connection in the room. The walls are so thin that I could hear every conversation from above our room and was a bit noisy from other guests, but we slept OK.||Breakfast was not good at all, tiny little bowls (like children tea cups sets), a piece of bread and an omelette, but I guess it was what we paid for.||We returned back to the same hotel from our trip to Cusco for one more night but did not have breakfast (did not miss anything) as we had an early flight...

When I checked in last week they had signs saying they would not have water the following day from 11am-5pm. I was NOT told prior to check in when I reserved it. I accepted the situation but it did not come back until 12pm! I called reception twice and they kept saying they’ll call the tech to see what time it’ll be on. I finally went downstairs and was VERY upset and requested a partial refund for this massive inconvenience. NO WATER NO SHOWER NO TOILET for more than half of the day. If they need to fix the water then why don’t they just not allow reservations for the entire day instead of having their clients have no water almost the entire day! That’s CRIMINAL. VERY...
