The Sonesta Hotel El Olivar in Lima, Peru, provided an exceptional experience during my stay. From start to finish, the service was outstanding. The staff were incredibly friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist with anything I needed, making me feel truly valued as a guest.
The breakfast buffet was a highlight of my visit. It featured both Peruvian and American options, catering to a wide variety of tastes. Every dish I tried was delicious, and the quality was top-notch. One of the best features was the availability of custom-made eggs and omelets, prepared just the way I liked them.
The rooms were equally impressive. They were extremely clean, spacious, and well-maintained with both comfortable beds and furnature for sitting. I appreciated the thoughtful design and the large size.
The hotel also had an incredible rooftop pool with panoramic views of the city. It was the perfect place to unwind while taking in the breathtaking scenery of San Isidro and Lima.
The location of the hotel being next to a park offered a beautiful and tranquil setting, while still being close to key attractions and business hubs in the city. Waking up to such a nice environment, combined with the stunning views from the rooftop, truly made my stay unforgettable.
I highly recommend the Sonesta Hotel El Olivar to anyone visiting Lima. The combination of delicious food, spacious and spotless rooms, gorgeous views, and the extremely helpful and welcoming staff made this a wonderful hotel experience. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, this hotel goes above and beyond to ensure a...
Read moreWell, another amazing stay. And no, this isn't a paid review. The hotel is simply this good. Nothing changed from my last visit (although read my last paragraph) and I will be back the next time I am in Lima. Staff remember your surname and greet with that on every occasion. There are plenty of staff running around doing chores, cleaning, maintenance etc. Breakfast staff are a hoot! Super special service and always working hard for all the guests. Little treats left at night in the room, biscuits at reception in the afternoon and nothing is ever too much for housekeeping. Breakfast is bountiful and room service on demand if needed. ||Now for my gripe. And I've tried to let it go. However, this must be raised with management. There appears to be a 'smoking area' outside the hotel to the left. The trouble being, whenever you want to turn left, you walk smack bang into them. The last straw was yesterday when somebody was smoking on the steps. Come on! Show some respect to those, like me, who do not have the choice when it comes to your smoke. Therefore, MANAGEMENT, please review your smoking policy outside the hotel. At least take it further away from the entrance to the hotel for those who do not want to be impacted. In my culture, it is against the law to smoke within 5 metres of a building. I'm not asking you to mirror this. I am, however, asking you to think how smoking impacts non-smokers. Enough said. It didn't sour my visit. If it happens again, I will be more vocal...
Read moreWe love this boutique hotel! The beds are super comfortable, air conditioning worked great, and one of the cleanest hotels we've ever stayed in. We love that it is situation in a park setting. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast buffet every morning watching the residents running, walking their dogs, or on their way to work. Thank you Freysa for always greeting us with a smile and making sure we have everything we need. Thank you Daniela and Roberto at the front desk. Daniela especially helped us with extending our stay, general questions and with the business center. Also, this hotel is so quiet. We didn't hear car horns. We didn't even hear housekeeping in the hallway. We needed an alarm clock to wake up every morning because we slept so well. Thank you Ariana for making our room smell so good and keeping our room so organized. The restaurant/bar was great and delicious, and we chose a few nights to just eat there. The chicken noodle soup is outstanding. And finally, thank you to Ronald, who makes the best pisco sours in Lima! He was our go-to guy during the trip and went above and beyond to accommodate us. He is the man!! We will definitely stay here again. Only area for improvement is communication. Our emails to the hotel were never answered so we had to call the hotel directly. But...
