We were traveling all over Peru staying in different Hiltons and hear me out - I have no idea how this Hilton deserves 4 stars cause the service is poorly deserving one star!!!
Everything was fine in the beginning - the door man downstairs was very nice, friendly and helpful, and he got us upstairs to the lobby.
It was 4-5 girls behind the front desk counter and no one of them even paid attention to us then the elevator door opened. Then one guy - Fammer - finally greeted us and at that moment we weren’t feeling welcome at all - cause he didn’t even put a small professional smile on his face and was rude talking Spanish to me all the time while I was talking to him in English cause obviously I don’t speak Spanish! So at some point I was thinking maybe he even doesn’t speak English and 2 min later after he asked me again something in Spanish and I didn’t get it and answered him something in English - surprisingly he started talking to me very good English!!! Such a joke!
I’m a diamond Hilton member and I believe no one from the staff in this hotel didn’t even know about it. Fammer was not friendly or nice at all till the moment he finally saw I’m a diamond member and finally put some smile on his face. But honestly it looks really bad if you treat your customers like that , especially if they are not Hilton honors members. Also once he realized I’m a diamond member he asked someone to put welcome cookies in our room - it’s also didn’t look good knowing our room wasn’t even ready to our arrival even we checked in around 5pm.
And I’m not even talking about him offering us an upgrade on our room - I know how it work depending on availability and everything but he didn’t even offer us WiFi upgrade at this point for diamond members.
Once we got into the room - regular WiFi wasn’t working. So we went to the front desk again to see how we can fix it - and only at this moment Fammer mentioned we can connect to the premium WiFi since I’m diamond member and he gave us a password.
We went to the restaurant for snack and drinks in the evening and were sitting quite a long time and no one even brought us a menu or checked on us till we went to the servers and asked for it. We ordered red wine and got iced cold drinks. Who serves red wine iced cold??? It was awful.
Maybe it was just our bad luck and other Hilton members were better with their clients cause the next morning at least we were nicely greeted by the girl on the front desk while going for breakfast.
Despite all that our room was clean and had everything you need in there and as I said before the door man was really friendly and nice - so I’ll put 2 stars just for that, but honestly even 3 stars hiltons treat you better than this one called 4 stars. Very...
Read moreAs a lifetime business traveler I have come to know the measure of world class customer service. This, in my experience, is not measured by the smooth and undisturbed functioning of a travel business. Rather, it is determined by the customer service provided when things, inevitably, do not go as designed. To that example I would present to you Vanessa Carrera, Guest Service Manager of the Hampton by Hilton, San Isidro, Lima Peru. Once I informed the front desk staff that a series of misunderstandings had impacted the quality of my stay at her hotel Vanessa first concerned herself with this feedback, then took decisive action to address the same, and then assured me personally that my concerns where important to her and would be resolved by any means at her disposal. This is the kind of world class customer support I have come to expect at Hilton properties, and have experienced that Hampton by Hilton at San Isidro. I highly recommend this hotel to any business traveler who may have occasion to visit Lima. The facilities are well kept and updated. The breakfast buffet is excellent. But what is most beneficial about this location is the staff, and their willingness to assist if you have any problems while visiting their hotel.

Read moreI recently stayed 4 days at this hotel and from the moment we arrived there were issues. I tried to speak with management and this option was refused several times. I even have messages with hotel staff where I’m asking for managements name and the question is ignored. The staff is poorly trained in my opinion. I asked for an email copy of stay and they sent me a message on what’s app. This hotel is said to be 4 stars but the service is truly deserving of one star. A lady named Pierina says she was in charge but really was of zero help. I’ literally had to contact the Hilton executive assistance phone line to open a case because of issues with this hotel. It was finally resolved after they reviewed the phone call. The final days of my visit to Peru will be at another brand of hotel and I will never recommend or stay at this property again !!!! Keep in mind I’m a elite member with Hilton for more than 3 years over 200 booking. Trust me stay away from here !! American...
