Kamanti hostel — Hotel in Pisac

The pictures are pretty misrepresentitve. It's run down, really dirty. Theres a review saying it has a communal culture and " the only bar in town" which are both absolutely lies. There is no bar. And there are plenty in town. The bathroom was pretty constantly dirty, and inconsistent if you would have water to shower, and when you did it was only luke warm for 90 seconds before it went cold. The staff locked the outside doors without telling us and I was locked out at 10pm on the dark street at night banging for 10 minutes. No apology when the guy finally came to open the door, didn't even say anything just opened it. The kitchen is absolutely filthy - left over food left around for days, blocked drain and sink full of dirty water, hard to find the cutlery and plates/pans you need to cook and when I saw the staff cleaning it after a few days they didn't even use soap or a sponge, just thier hands under water. Go somewhere else. Even the location is further out than other...

Beware. In general, the hostel is cozy and has a nice garden. The people are very welcoming and definitely open to anyone. But the hostel is far from clean. I don‘t mind a little chaos or dust but of three possible showers one is not working at all (no shower hose), another is not seperated at all from the toilet and can only be used by standing on the toilet floor a few inches next to it and the third (and best) was full of hairs and dirt. The kitchen is a breeding ground for flies, drains are usually clogged and no surface was really clean. That aside, the hostel is a really quiet place that respects individual needs and if you had an exhausting day, you will find...

I stayed at this hostel for a bit over a month. While there are definitely some improvements to be made the atmosphere is wonderful. It really feels like a family and Andres, the owner, makes sure there are events organized every now and then to strengthen this feeling.

The garden is a beautiful spot to hang out or exercise.

The hostel hasn't been around for too long but there are constant improvements being made.

As for the location: It's Pisac. Everything is nearby.

Can really recommend. Unless you are allergic to cats or dogs as there is one of each staying...
