Le Saint-Etienne Hotel — Hotel in Trujillo

We were told we can check in early free of charge via booking message. When we arrived early the owner wanted to charge us extra, eventually we didn’t pay as was agreed.

We were given a room with a hole in a bathroom and the door to the bathroom. Imagine, everyone hears what you’re doing in a bathroom or bedroom. Then, the window did not lock at all, hence it didn’t feel safe. Our bedsheets were covered in orange stains.

The hotel claims to be 3 stars but it lacks a lot and especially HOSPITALITY. We asked to change the room but we could only do it the next day, what wasn’t an option for us. Why are we paying so much for such a poor service?!

When we decided to cancel, we HAD to pay S/50 for the time we spent at our temporary room. There was no willingness to keep us from the owner.

this is a wonderful place in a safe nice area of Trujillo. nearby is a small park with shade from the trees, where you can sit or lie down on the grass and read a book. There are many cafes and shops around with different cuisines, so you won't go hungry. Loved the room with "single room. garden view". Panoramic windows overlooking the artificial lawn provide a certain pleasure. On the street in front of the room there are sofas and picnic chairs, where it is very convenient to eat and enjoy the sun, you can also sunbathe. I was lucky because while I was there for 2 weeks, there was no one on the ground floor except me and direct access to the picnic place was only from my room, so I enjoyed the space. La distribución de habitaciones es pésima, NO tengo sueño ligero y todo se escucha.

La puerta de la habitación que me dieron era parte del inicio de la escalera de acceso del piso superior, además que tiene una ventana TRANSPARENTE superior que no se puede cerrar por el paso del cable y que al quedarse la luz prendida por la escalera, ilumina la habitación, tampoco dejando descansar.

El timbre de escucha por todo el lugar, incluso estando en el segundo piso.

El primer día se inundó el baño y la mitad de la habitación después de usar la ducha por la posición en la que tenían empotrada la ducha. Se mojaron mis cosas. Pusieron un nuevo cabezal de ducha, pero ninguna asistencia con mis cosas mojadas.

Techo del baño con hongo. Techo del cuarto con telaarañas. Olor a desagüe en el baño todo el día y con mayor intensidad en la noche.

Precio muy alto para la habitación que ofrecen, tv pequeña, no tiene closet con cajones, solo una mesa y una barra. Teléfono intercomunicador no funciona.

Exigen el pago adelantado, como si uno se fuera a fugar. No me había pasado esa experiencia antes.

Para el colmo, el último día su recepcionista me maltrató. Yo llegué por trabajo, hoy mi último día me quedé trabajando hasta tarde, llegué a las justas almorzando para hacer mi maleta y retirarme. Le digo que me cobre por favor, coge mi tarjeta alejándola de mi vista, no me cobra y no me dice porque no me cobra. Después de un rato le pido que me cobre y me dice “el POS tiene que cargar, le dije que venga con tiempo” con una actitud déspota y alzando la voz. Todos los días ese recepcionista de noche no muestra ni pizca de amabilidad, pero eso ya es el colmo, no sirve para atención al cliente.

Me cobraron un late check out, pero ese día no limpiaron mi habitación en todo el día hasta que me retiré, hasta las 8pm.

Lo único bueno, es qué hay desayuno. Pobre y pequeño para lo que se paga (pan con mantequilla, mermelada, café y jugo de papaya), pero al menos lo llevan a la habitación.
