I stayed there 3 nights and it was a perfect place for me. Just far enough from everything that you don't feel you have to walk too far to town but very peaceful, quiet and safe. Paulino, the owner, spoke very good English and helped me a lot! He arranged transport for me several times and explained to me how to get around with the bus (down the street). Also, he and his wife cooked breakfasts and dinners as well as did my laundry! The food is fresh and healthy with bounties from their garden. It felt just like home and it was very affordable. The room and bathroom were clean and the bed comfortable. It is not fancy but it is perfectly good. Paulino and his wife are great hosts and some of the nicest people I've ever met. Apparently they serve breakfast too though I haven't spent the night yet so I can't rate it. My guess is it'll be great, as they seem to really take care here....
Read moreLoved my stay with Paulino and his wife and really wish I’d been able to stay longer. The garden is amazing and you can have your breakfast with hummingbirds smelling all the lovely flowers. They are so welcoming as hosts and speak good English. They also made me a lovely dinner of chicken and rice with fruit from their garden as dessert. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable and for 40 soles a night amazing value! The only thing I’d suggest as an improvement would be to add blinds in the bedroom as it was very light in the morning but this is minor. If you get the chance and you’re going to Urubamba - go stay at...
