Lafaayette Luxury Suites Baguio — Hotel in Baguio

This establishment is our worst hotel experience as travellers for over 30 years. They exert constant efforts in giving you a run for your money; and, the service is extremely poor. We arrived around an hour before check in. Although it was fair for them not to lead us to our room, what is revolting is that they said they were going to give us a call when the room was ready and they never did. While checking in, I made it a point to remind them about our room preference that we paid for with an extra charge. Despite the reminder, they placed us in a cheaper room. The first room that the hotel gave was along the main road. Apart from it being noisy; the fumes from the steady emissions of the busy street graced the room. We asked for a better room. They hesitantly budged until we stressed that we both had asthma. The front desk (now from a new shift) informed us that moving to another room would entail an extra charge. After prodding, it turned out that we were placed in a room that was less than we had paid for. When the room issue was finally settled. I asked if their staff could bring the keys to our room, the front desk pushed back and said that we needed to vacate the room, surrender the keys to the front door in exchange for the new keys. At this point, I asserted that they had to bring the keys to us. When check out came, we were charged P2000. Apparently, we stained our comforter with make-up. My husband told them that I do not wear make up and asked for the charge to be reversed. To date, we wonder if the ludicrous P2002 staining” the sheet charge is really a hotel policy or just a conspiracy amongst staff to extort money from customers — either way, the basis for the charge was unjust. We had an absolutely amazing time at the Lafayette Luxury Hotel. From December 31, 2024, to January 1, 2025, we had the honor of staying in the Presidential Suite Room 9008, and it was better than we could have imagined. We received first-rate service from the moment we arrived.||Our check-in process went easily thanks to the kind and helpful front desk staff, and we were instantly struck by the lobby's sophistication and elegance as well as the hotel's overall opulent atmosphere.||There are no words to describe the Presidential Suite. It felt like our home away from home and was furnished in the opulent old European manner. It was large, exquisitely adorned, and furnished with every conceivable convenience.||From the facilities to the personalized welcome presents, which included a "Red Wine" fruit platter and a "Bouquet Flower," the suite's level of detail was superb.|The hotel's dining experience was another highlight; we had a great New Year's Eve dinner at the on-site restaurant, where the food and service were impressive. I requested, and everything was carefully prepared to make our stay special. We were also impressed with the in-room technology, which made it easy to adjust lighting, temperature, and entertainment.||Whether it was the concierge organizing last-minute requests or the cleaning staff keeping everything spotless during our visit, every member of the crew went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect.
