We were not able to utilize the booking I made here in this hotel and i was not able to refund my money. Upon arrival at this hotel, we were ushered in to basement three floors lower into a dingy and smelly (smells like toilet) room. Ugly beds with dirty bathroom toilet. Towels that looked like has been utilized so many times ( color is already grayish). Just because they were fully booked. The main thing is that they (is it Agoda's fault) money has been paid thru Agoda for two nights reservation. As we were so hungry because of the long trip, we ate lunch/dinner at their restaurant and ordered sinigang na baboy, adobong manok, kangkong with garlic, rice, soft drinks. The pork was totally tough and the chicken adobo as well. It looked like that it was not thawed before cooking as the chicken still has blood in it, so I asked that it be fried again. After making do if whatever we could eat, we went back to the room assigned to us, but unfortunately my daughter throw up all the food she ate at the restaurant because of the bad bathroom odor of the room. My daughter decided to look for a better hotel. ||||While waiting at the lobby for my daughter to return from trying to find another hotel, i met the owner of the place. He was such a nice, pleasant guy and told him our predicament. He tried his best to find a better room for us, but there was none available. He was not able to offer a refund of a certain percentage of the money we paid as he said we booked directly to Agoda.||||In the end, we were not able to stay in this hotel at all, and was not able to get a refund of even a fraction of the money I paid for...
Read moreThe hotel was the worst experience we've ever had. It was dirty and unexpectedly moldy. The first room we were assigned, on the second floor, was in terrible condition. The door made creepy noises, the curtains hadn't been changed in years, the windows were filthy and couldn't be opened, and the ceiling was moldy. The bedside tables were dusty, and the shower area was so dirty that we chose not to use it. The showerhead was broken and couldn't be mounted on the wall.
I went to the reception desk to request a room change. The receptionist initially claimed there were no available rooms, but after checking the system, she asked the security guard to accompany us to the basement. While they showed us to another room that was slightly better than the first, neither the security guard nor the receptionist helped us carry our luggage to the room. The guard only assisted in bringing our bags to the lobby. Since the hotel had no elevator and only stairs, we had to carry everything ourselves.
The second room smelled moldy, lacked proper ventilation, had no phone signal, and no Wi-Fi. The blankets were thin, damaged, and had visible holes. We paid an extra 400 pesos for an additional guest but didn’t receive an extra mattress until I went back to request it.
Although the shower in the second room worked, the drainage under the sink was clogged and emitted a foul odor, making us feel nauseated. We decided to check out at 11 PM on our second night, even though we had booked until the next day.
We didn’t bother trying their breakfast. The rooms were small, smelly, dirty, and moldy—an overall...
Read moreI usually rely on Trip.com for all my travel bookings—flights, hotels, everything. But this recent experience left me really disappointed and frustrated. What was advertised on Trip.com turned out to be very different from what I actually got when I arrived.First off, I arrived shortly after 12 PM because my booking clearly stated that check-in was available after 12 PM. But when I got there, the receptionist told me that check-in isn’t until 2 PM, as per their hotel policy. I pointed out the conflicting info on Trip.com, but they just shrugged and said they had no control over what’s posted there. No apology, no real help. I ended up waiting in the lobby and was finally allowed to check in after 1 PM.Then, when I got to the room, I found out it was a fan room—not the air-conditioned room I had booked and paid for. I went back to the front desk to ask about it, and again, they blamed the listing on Trip.com. They said if I wanted an air-conditioned room, I’d have to pay more than double what I already paid. At that point, I just gave up and accepted it because I didn’t want to ruin my short trip. But honestly, there’s clearly a disconnect between the hotel and what’s advertised on Trip.com—and we, the customers, are the ones stuck dealing with it.Pros: The location is convenient, and transportation (jeepneys, taxis) is easily accessible right in front of the hotel.Cons: Avoid staying on the first two floors—there’s barely any cellular signal, and there’s no Wi-Fi in the rooms at all. If you need internet, you’ll have to sit in the lobby. Definitely not ideal for...
