The atmosphere is great. It has a country style like you're at home type of feel once you're inside. All spaces are utilized and not a single space is wasted.

Service is okay. A lot of customers were there for dinner. I understand there are a lot of customers but yup. It seems like you need to yell and raise your hand like you're reaching for the stars to get noticed. They give you serving spoons with spoons and forks as well as some tissues but yup. Not enough. No small spoons for sauces like gravy. Nakagisnan naman na yun dba? Di sa pagiinarte pero dapat meron man lang sana.

And now the food. We ordered the aloha 5 cheese, carbonara, lasagna, chicken and their honey glazed. Not familiar with the name of the exact dish since I'm not the one who ordered but that's what we got.

Despite the number of customers, our pizza was served 15mins on the dot with the others like chicken was to be followed. No issues with the chicken as well as the honey glazed and the carbonara. Did not take those pics as there are a lot online as well as other reviews and THEY ARE DEFINITELY DELICIOUS.

Lasagna was a little bit lacking on the pasta side. It tastes good but not that good. Greenwich lasagna could even topple theirs with a little bit more improvement but hey. They can and I know they will (Gjoe) will improve moving forward.

On the pizza. Im not that too happy.

Slices were i dont know. Like divided into 16 UNEQUAL sizes? Or perhaps they sliced it not too deep that the cheese just covered it? Dunno. They also give you sauce packets. Would be much vetter if they have bottles in each table

Dough was a little bit undercooked on some parts. Chef Gordon will slap you in the face with this dough if he saw that. There was even a small plastic that in the pizza embedded into the cheese. (Packaging of your mozzarella?) PICS of pizza posted below.

Oh btw, we are in 2025. Your spot does not even have a backup if your main card reader is not working. We were forced to "chip in" na para kaming nagaambagan sa inuman kasi we don't normally carry cash kasi sira yung card reader nyo. You don't even have those rfid readers that you just tap your card and confirm the payment.

Overall, the experience was great. Oks lang ung hirap sa parking. No problem dun and its not the management's fault or what. Had to park at GSIS and the short walk is ok ken sanay tau met a magmagna a taga baguio ti pasang-at kaskada kwa.

This is the first time that I ate in GrumpyJoe and I'm definitely going back to see any improvements.

Tbh, overhyped. There are lots of other restos on the same price range that serves better food & has better service. Dined here on a Thursday night so not a too busy time for them but..

Pizza was DRY. It’s only warm/room temp when it was served to us. Didnt even see a slight shine on the pizza. Tasted bland and dry. Some claimed it’s the best pizza in Baguio but it’s only subpar to all other restos. Truffle pasta didnt taste like truffle, there were handful of mushrooms but it didnt taste like truffle. Too OA on the amount of mushrooms. Pesto pasta. Literally no trace of pesto. Could be one of the most bland pestos we’ve had. We had to put plenty of salt just to taste anything. When we asked for parmesan cheese, they had to charge us for an extra. We can’t literally taste anything on the bland pesto, it’s just oil. Bread was good enough. Service : Crew acted too busy and can’t even look you in the eyes when you ask for them. When we called for them, one even cut us off mid-sentence and said “WAIT LANG” and didnt come back. Uhm??? Okay??? Rude, never experienced that in other restos before. When we asked to cancel 1 extra rice (just 5 minutes after they took our initial order), a crew said to the cashier to cancel our 1 extra rice and cashier irritably and loudly said “Ha, bakit?” with an irritated tone. It’s only been 5 mins from when they took our order and serving time for the first dish took 30+ minutes nga so idk why cashier was irritated agad and sinadyang iparinig sa customers pa. Crew also missed to punch in one of our orders - the Fried Chicken. We asked them for follow up but they said na hindi raw nila nasama sa note nila. Luckily, we let it pass na lang because we were full already. Also, they didnt confirm anything such as “order is complete” so we were just waiting for the chicken not knowing they missed to punch it in. When we were just about to enter the resto, as usual we had to wait by the door entrance to be seated. About 3-5 crews sa gilid lang ng door ha, just looked at us and did not even greet us nor ask us if we were going to dine in. I had to call one of them for attention pa. This happened while at least five of us were standing by the “podium” by the door waiting for the hostess, if any, yet tinitigan lang nila kami.

Please please improve your service. It was not even peak hours and not on a weekend, yet we experienced the...

One of the popular resto in Baguio, I assume. It was a long line last night. Also, it was a challenge for us to wait, why? It was soooo cold while waiting outside. LoL! 🥶

Place was big. American cuisine.

We ordered their Grumpy Joe pizza, their was this icon in the menu indicating "Must try". And, Chicken Parmigiana Pasta.

Okay, let's start with Grumpy Joe Pizza. I was expecting something new. But I was so surprised when the looks of the pizza is the same as Pizza Hut.. no kidding, you can browse it with what I have uploaded. When I've tasted it.. yeah, no kidding too, it tasted like Pizza Hut. The only difference was, the texture of the pan pizza. Looking at it, I thought it was toasted because it was thick but it was so soft. So good job 👌 But, the taste, well, similar to Pizza Hut. I think its their Super Supreme or Bacon Cheeseburger.

Then, about the Chicken Parmigiana Pasta. They used spaghetti noodles. The was normal nothing special, I mean, if you are a Pasta lover..I can't find anything special with it. Or if you are a food critic or a food lover, if you know what I mean. I am looking for a taste that I can tell everyone..or I can go back again because there was this special taste that I miss. Just normal foods for me.

Restroom 🚻 ✅ Many servers/waiters that time, but I think it was too crowded that's why you need to wait for them to get your order. Very nice ambience. Nice interior design. Especially with the female restroom. I've seen almost all the female are taking pictures inside.(You'll know what I mean) Its not because I can see them inside, but there's a part of the restroom that you can see from the outside.

Why 4 stars? Affordable and reasonable price. Big serving.

Unfortunately we didn't ask what's their best seller. I've heard the Chicken was one of their best food.

So, next time will try their chicken. 👍🏻
