Well, well, well, if it isn't Grumpy Joe βΊοΈ The logo face looks very familiar, maybe I have played him in one of the video games before. π One of the popular resto in Baguio, I assume. It was a long line last night. Also, it was a challenge for us to wait, why? It was soooo cold while waiting outside. LoL! π₯Ά Place was big. American cuisine. We ordered their Grumpy Joe pizza, their was this icon in the menu indicating "Must try". And, Chicken Parmigiana Pasta. Okay, let's start with Grumpy Joe Pizza. I was expecting something new. But I was so surprised when the looks of the pizza is the same as Pizza Hut.. no kidding, you can browse it with what I have uploaded. When I've tasted it.. yeah, no kidding too, it tasted like Pizza Hut. The only difference was, the texture of the pan pizza. Looking at it, I thought it was toasted because it was thick but it was so soft. So good job π But, the taste, well, similar to Pizza Hut. I think its their Super Supreme or Bacon Cheeseburger. Then, about the Chicken Parmigiana Pasta. They used spaghetti noodles. The was normal nothing special, I mean, if you are a Pasta lover..I can't find anything special with it. Or if you are a food critic or a food lover, if you know what I mean. I am looking for a taste that I can tell everyone..or I can go back again because there was this special taste that I miss. Just normal foods for me. Restroom π» β Many servers/waiters that time, but I think it was too crowded that's why you need to wait for them to get your order. Very nice ambience. Nice interior design. Especially with the female restroom. I've seen almost all the female are taking pictures inside.(You'll know what I mean) Its not because I can see them inside, but there's a part of the restroom that you can see from the outside. Why 4 stars? Affordable and reasonable price. Big serving. Unfortunately we didn't ask what's their best seller. I've heard the Chicken was one of their best food. So, next time will try their chicken. ππ» Yet still would recommend this place especially for big families. And for dating as well. As I've said in my profile, we have different taste buds ππ»

Excellent place with a good selection of local favorites (fried chicken) as well as Western dishes (pizza, pasta). Served in an enjoyable, low-key environment with limited outdoor and more indoor seating. CASH ONLY. This is an amazing place. Really good quality food. Service can be a little weird - my last two visits the hostess wanted my phone number "in case of emergency", despite the fact that she was seating me immediately. I declined politely but she was still visibly irritated. Sorry! Their pizzas are delicious - closer to Chicago-style with thicker crust that is done perfectly. A slight buttery edge to it and delicious all on its own. Plenty of topping combinations to choose from, and I can vouch for both the pepperoni as well as the pepperoni, jalapeno and anchovy options. Additionally, I tried their onion rings and was not disappointed. A crisp but light breading. Served with kind of a strange sauce - might just be mayo but it has a bit more flavor than that. But they also serve you a couple of hot sauce packets so you can use those as well. The Grumpy Joe Special Burger was more disappointing. The bun couldn't handle all the sauces and drippings and turned into a soggy mess on the bottom. Much bigger bun than burger. Burger was very salty and the slice of pineapple couldn't adequately balance it out. Tomato, lettuce and slices of cucumber as well as cheese. The burger was a mess to eat resulting in sticky hands despite the basket of napkins provided at your table. Served with french fries (I wasn't allowed to upgrade to onion rings) that looked impressive but were very disappointing. Very greasy and limp/soggy. Didn't bother to finish them. No alcohol served but a full range of coffees, teas, espresso drinks, juice drinks and sodas to choose from. Service is prompt and the place is generally at least somewhat busy if not packed. Be prepared to wait if you come during the main lunch hour (probably dinner hour as well).

This is the joint na babalik balikan! Aside from the mouthwatering food and affordable prices, this place is accessible and the service is good. To top that, their hearly meals will always leave you satisfied π My favourite so far (and it seems to be the favourite of many, coz most of the customers order this) is the Spice Seafood Pasta. It is a cream based pasta with basil, topped with tahong and squid. It is simply the best pasta I have ever tasted (in Baguio). Partnered with the Aloha Formaggi Pizza, you already have the most sumptuous meal in your plate... And don't forget the Shirly Temple, coz your meal ain't complete without drinks π Ok.. So let's talk about the Formaggi.... There are two variants of this pizza - the Formaggi and the Aloha Formaggi. Personally, I am a fan of the aloha variant coz i like pineapples. But if you think pinapples ang pizza don't match, the Formaggi without the pineapples is still yummy. The cheeses and cream melt in your mouth and every bite is worth the buck. The pizza is awsome, there will be no left overs π I say it is simply DELICIOUS. You might want to try out the mojos here too... For one, it is cheap and the serving is more than you could eat alone. You'd expect this large serving in Baguio coz they do grow potatoes here.. Lots of them. π Anyway, let's talk about the downside here - you need to reserve early as the resto does not have enough space. During lunch and dinner, the place cannot accommodate the influx of customers and so the long queue. The parking space is limited as well so I suggest you go there early. Finally, the service... The servers are fast here, kudos to the staff!!! So when in Baguio and looking for affordable and hearty meals, do not hesitate to drop by Grumpy Joes. The food and staff here will not disappoint. π

What would have been a pleasant family gathering to celebrate my niece's recognition ceremony turned sour at Grumpy Joe. Their waiting staff aren't nice or accommodating. They're all a bit stand-offish, it's like they resent you for being there and hope that if they just ignore you, you'll go away. We had a 16" Aloha 5 Cheese Pizza, a salad, and the fried chicken (double). The food was fine, it wasn't the food we had a problem with. A tip for future dine-in guests, bring your own water as they don't have service water (w/c is unusual for Baguio restaurants of this price range). Our first issue: They won't give you a drinking glass unless you order a drinΔ·. We asked if we could get two cans of coke and five glasses, our server said that they have a "1 drink order, 1 glass policy" (first time I've encountered this) so we ordered 4 cans of coke and asked if we could request for an extra glass (for the child), our server said "no". We had to ask someone else and they eventually gave us an extra glass. 2. They don't pack your leftovers, they hand you the box and plastic. 3. When we asked for the bill, the person who counted our money almost slammed the bill tray. 4. They also don't automatically issue an O.R., they just give you your change and the order slip. They said they only give official receipts upon request. So maybe it would have been fine if it was just one thing or if their waiting staff wasn't so unpleasant. My niece really like the 5 Aloha Pizza so we might go to another branch and hope the people who work there are nicer.

The food was so and so. Not that tasty it is passable but the price for that taste is not comparable. The service is bad. They mistaken our order. We ordered 2 burgers but they only served 1 so i have to wait for a while to eat my burger. The restaurant have a wifi named "grumpy joe" so i thought there is free wifi, then when i asked, they said that is for their staff only. Then why not name it grumpy joe admin or staff. Then they served us the food, we ordered pizza but they didn't give us hot sauce, we have to ask the waiter to give us and they only given us 3 hot sauce packets. It is not enough because we have 4 people there. Then they didn't give us service water. It is basic restaurant etiquette to atleast provide some form of drinks(for example water) to your costumer so they can wash their palate. So we were forced to buy drinks like bottled water or juice. Then what infiruates me is their staff, they just stand near the bar, it is so hard to call to them it is like they are ignoring us. We would like to order more because we were not happy with our food but we cant call the waiters or waitresses. Their loss. It is called grumpy joe because it make us more grumpy after eating there. P.S. the picture in there shows that we were happy but that is before we became grumpy from the long wait for food to come and their bad service. P.S. we will not go back there anymore. I'm a simple guy if the food is great i will give them easily 5 stars but the way they treats us is just not right.

GrΓΌmpy Joe - Upper Session is one of the best places in Baguio if you want to have good American-style pizza. Food: The things we ordered were definitely amazing! There were only the two of us so we didn't order much, however, that does not deny the fact that the food was delicious! The servings were good and could even be shared if you want to. It was very filling and it tastes great. I have nothing else to say about the food: it's all great! Service: The staff were actually pretty active and always on the lookout for customers that are in need of assistance. Very friendly, very professional, they did their job well! Ambience: First time to hear about this place, them serving pizza was the most notable thing I remember. But then I entered the place, I thought I might be in the wrong place; and I'm happy that I wasn't. The idea of a pizza restaurant was more of the playful design and the typical ones you see in other shops; this one is by far, the most unexpected with the interior. You would think you're in a fancy restaurant eating bourgeois-level kind of food, but it's actually a restaurant with (mostly) casual foods like chicken wings and pizza. But by far, that makes the experience so much better. Totally love the ambience and the environment of the place! TL;DR just go, read this, then go
