Intrigued by the hype in their socmed postings but was disappointed by how everything fell into place.
Ambiance: We arrived hungry past lunch time(almost 1pm) on a Sunday afternoon after hoping to find relaxation from a somehow âfancyâ restaurant. The place was very small. No view, no private restroom, no signal, with wifi that is not likely to be accessible. Everything was greasy from floors, walls and tables. From where we sat, our seat was covered with dust, including their faux flower decoration. Overall, not very appealing. There was a large speaker placed by the cashier with booming music (i would understand if the music fits to the class of how they are portrayed in their social media postings but unfortunately, its not). This is not a place ideal for intimate talks.
Menu & Price: Most of what we tried to order were unavailable. We asked for the promos posted on facebook good for 2 (Buy1 Get1), the individual steak costs â±200 but was surprised by how costly the bill was after. Apparently, the meal promo (B1G1) is priced double. I donât really understand the concept of their promo, it was meant to be cheaper but instead we ended up paying more than the individual price (â±689, almost â±700). Wanted to try at least the Sangria but for a glass worth 200 pesos, their stock was off the menu and off the quality brand, so we had to decline.
Taste: I thought that maybe the food was really good to cost this much, but no. This was a total disappointment, one after another. The steak was small for a 250g order (which was considered to be their largest), the meat was hard and thin. Nothing was special, seemed like I was only eating a chewy porkchop. There were no condiments provided. The steak was plain, no gravy, and barely a side dish (very few veggies) and not much flavor. I wish I couldâve taken a photo but we were just fed up. We tried ordering for mozzarella sticks but still, it wasnât appealing, the crumbs were burnt from what seemed to be from a used oil. It took us roughly 25-35mins to wait for the orders to arrive, one at a time.
Short-staffed: The staff only had 1 cashier, 1 all-around waiter and i think 2 chefs in the kitchen. The place was small and you can hear every instructions, joke and comment they give to one another. There is no professionalism with the way they talk, I feel like we were in a regular carinderia that costed us a thousand.
Upon billing, there was a written poster upfront that demands customer to pay every single centavo (via cash or online transfer), but as I have been observing, they were not giving the exact change that was due. They kept saying âwala na po kaming panukli/baryaâ, leaving no choice for the customer but to have them keep the change on several attempts.
I hope this goes to the management, there are a lot of areas to improve in your business. I have been fooled by the false marketing of this place and I do not want this to be the same with future customers who wanted to try out quality meals and services here in Baguio. I am sorry but this is just...
Read moreI was enticed to try their February promo which gives you a pair of porterhouse, wine and grazing board.
First of, we've been wanting to try steak and wine so seeing this đ€€ made me think why not give it a try. For almost 2k it was pretty interesting I thought.
So eto na nga
Ambiance, we were asked if we wanted to stay in their next door sister company and we didn't object because it's more spacious and the wine around us gave us a good vibe. Though a Beagle would come and go, the place was okay.
Crew: They were friendly but.... I made a reservation but I didn't feel like I did because they are not aware of it and they made us feel otherwise.
Aside from that the team was okay. They served with smiles and asked questions.
Payment: Cash/ Gcash/ Credit Card accepted
Food:
Porterhouse | Angus Steak- terribly chewy. I must say that their steak are well seasoned BUT whatchugonna do with chewy steak right?
Wine: It was okay.
Grazing Board: đąsuper disappointed. SUPER DISAPPOINTED. Just check out their marketing photo versus the ones they served to us. YOU'D cry a river.
Imagine seeing a marketing material with nakakatakam na grazing board tapos pagdating sayo prank lang.
Take note, Id understand if you know if prior ordering they said or explained it to us.
WALA. When we call them out about it then they said
Ma'am kaya nga pinapili namin kayo between porterhouse and angus (duh!) magkapresyo lang sila so nothing really fancy about it.
Kung hindi namin ni raise ung concern, wala.
It's just disappointing when resto tries to persuade people to come and not stay.
I wouldn't recommend this place cause they aren't true to their promise. I feel like they'd make me feel like a fool if I go there again the next time.
Husay pa naman nung Vlogger na nagfeature sa kanila. Pero you cant serve group #1 with complete order and group #2 with incomplete ones without at least giving a heads up.
I think they can still be better but unfortunately I wouldn't want to try again.
So not a good one for...
Read moreFood? Not worth the price. They advertise PREMIUM steaks, but the ones served are thin and all cooked well done, even if you request medium rare. The curry pepper steak was literally bitter, and they didnât even adjust it. I doubt the cook tasted it before it left the kitchen.
Service? They charge an 8% service fee, yet the service is lacking. We had to repeatedly call for someone to take our order, but no one responded. Ultimately, we had to go to the counter to order and then wait a while for food that tasted bad.
The atmosphere isnât pleasant either. Inside, you can hear the staff in the kitchen talking negatively about customers, and thereâs no music, contrary to what their social media promotions suggest.
I had high hopes for this place but was left disappointed. I DO NOT RECOMMEND it. The owner claims to have cut costs and is open to feedback to improve food and service, but trust me, NOTHING HAS CHANGED.
This is definitely one of those places I call "AT LEAST I TRIED AND I'M NEVER GOING BACK." If this was on your bucket list, you might want...
