I almost forgot to write a review about World Touch Cafe. It's been more than a month since I was in Bantayan Island enjoying my Eggs Benedict Croissant with home-made strawberry cheese cake. I still think about that Eggs Benedict every now and then.
Unfortunately you cannot teleport from Netherlands so I will have to wait for my next trip to the Philippines.
One side-note as a Turkish citizen, when I ordered menemen I felt that it was missing some garlic and onions. Normally we add some sucuk in the dish, but of course you cannot find this easily in Bantayan Island. To compensate (as my advise) sprinkle the pepperoni you use with garlic and onion powder so that it gives the same texture and flavor. Also, there was almost too much cheese in the menemen which is unusual and ruins the dish. I can even say that I never had cheese on my menemen before, so if you do add cheese; try to do a little bit on top. It doesn't have to be mixed with the menemen. With this combo you will almost have an authentic menemen.
The staff was very friendly, so friendly that I had to remind the female teller that I have to pay still. They also trust me to go out and change my money somewhere because they couldn't change my 1000 peso bill. This makes me feel trusted as a customer and valued so thank you...

Both our dishes tasted like nothing... For a dish like a curry, I didn't know there would be a time when it would taste like nothing. So bland, even the mango smoothie was so bland, which is weird. We couldn't finish our food at this place, plus it's kinda expensive than other stores.
(Edit as a response to the owner) That did not even look remotely close to an actual indian curry, but okay. I was okay with a filipino curry. Maybe try and widen your taste. f My first recommendation is to go to the Talamban area and the Mango area in Cebu city where they have actual indians cooking, and you'll see what an indian curry looks like.
Also, it's weird that you know that tofu is flavorless. HENCE, you should marinate in something to get actual flavor. Why should I the paying customer have to make my food taste like something? If I wanted to do that, I should've just stayed at home and slap a tofu on some piece of bread and put salt on it. Mind you, these were 200-400 prices. LOL
Please at least take your time and create actual...
Read moreOrdered takeout for breakfast. We asked how long it would take because our toddler was waiting for us in our hotel room with her grandparents. The staff said 5 mins then changed it to 20 mins because it was a busy morning. We said okay. Forty minutes later and our order are still not done (at this point I was already shaking in hunger due to hypoglycemia. Coffee was already there but of course I cant drink coffee first that will only hurt my stomach. Even the coffee took 25 mins. Not to mention 40 mins is an unacceptable waiting time for food and this aint even fine dining). The owner told us if it was okay to wait 10 mins more because the chef missed my order. I said no and my husband just paid whatever was ready and left. I cried in anger and frustration after because I cannot wrap my head around what happened especially since the owner seems to be very friendly and kept greeting all the other guests.
Thank you for ruining our morning. I wish they just told us it would take THAT long because we would never...
