I am having reservations when recommending this hotel. First , there was no wifi. Not just unusable wifi. There was just no wifi. I was struggling with my work.
Second, mosquitoes can enter the cabana. I had lots of bites after I left the hotel.
Third, there is no intercom. It is ridiculous, but it's true.
Fourth, the shower is like a drizzle. They were trying to limit guests from using too much water when showering. Also, the drainage was clogging.
Fifth, no faucet to clean your feet full of sand.
Sixth, there was no manager that supervised the condition of the hotel. It started when I arrived and they gave me iced tea. I placed the glass in the balcony table where they could see it but it took them days to take it away after I requested cleanup. The curtains were smelly. The balcony chairs were smelly, sticky, and dirty. the walls had lots of cobwebs. It was difficult to open the curtains because the bars were made of bamboo.
Seven, the bar was blasting club music all the time. It was difficult to sleep when deep bass is banging in the middle of the night. I made a mistake picking a "quiet and relaxing" hotel.
Breakfast was so-so. It also took them a lot of time to prepare it. I mean, they could just cook a specific menu and be done with it. People will eat breakfast regardless. Also, they were putting loads of ice on watermelon juice. It was disappointing considering I have paid so much for my stay here only to be scrimped on watermelon juice.
Not everything is bad. The location is great because it's just meters away from the beach.
The bed was good and the pillows were not bad. I could have had a better vacation if there were not so much mosquitoes and the bar music was a little bit considerate.
When I was checking out, there was a power outage and they did not have network connection. The reception made sure to tell me to write my contact number so that they could call me and ask me to pay whatever it is that didn't come up when the power was out. Imagine being told like that after paying several thousand pesos to stay in this hotel. I was told like this "Sir, palagay ng number mo para macontact ka namin in case meron ka pang hindi nabayaran". I mean, don't you have my contact number already? Then she made sure that everyone heard that I was not running away from anything "Itong cabana 3 sigurado na bang paid na lahat ito?" I knew she was just trying to make sure that the balances are paid but it was also embarrassing me since there were a lot of other people that were checking out. It was like she was trying to make me appear as though I was trying to...
Read moreEverything was great until our check out. Even I was okay with all the animals who lived with you in your cabana. I saw a rat running under the roof in our family cabana, the huge bug landed on my belly during the night, and I don’t mention the mosquitoes and their bites! The live bands performing on the neighboring restobar with the huge noise from Friday to Sunday, so you can’t sleep until 12am. I accepted all these and enjoyed my staying there. But when we checked out and were sitting with our friend at a lobby waiting of our deposits, the girl showed up with a towel from our room pointing that there are stains on the towel and we have to pay for it. Really? I should say the night here costs $150 and it’s very expensive for Philippines. I thought it was a joke, but not. So, the girl was shaking this towel in front of all our friends trying to figure out where these stains come from. Then she called to a manager and said, that manager gives us a discount and instead of paying 500php, we will pay 300php for stains. I am afraid, if I had those women days and stained the sheets, they would bring them down to show to me and my friends embarrassing me in front of everyone! Such disrespectful act. It almost took 20 mins to discover the nature of stains and embarrassing me in front of my friends. We even agreed to pay because I couldn’t handle this anymore and was in chock, but another girl showed up and said that she tried to bleach these stains and they came out. So, we are good. Such a bad experience, I couldn’t even imagine that something like that could happen....
Read morePROS: Service was great! Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Beach front was beautiful specially on high tides. Aesthetic/Instagrammable beach front. Wifi was fast in the common areas (no wifi in the room) Room is complete with toiletries, room slippers, hangers, blow dryer, mini ref, beach towels, bath towels, cold a/c, comfortable bed and pillow, strong water pressure with hot and cold shower Free breakfast had a lot of options to choose from, food was delicious but the eggs were a bit too oily.
CONS: We booked on a weekend, and there were live bands performing on the neighboring restobar. It was hard for us to sleep during the night with the noise. This was what made us give the resort three stars. Maybe try to think of a way to soundproof the rooms. Our relaxing vacation was disrupted mainly due to this noise. It rained hard at night during our stay and suddenly some black dirt/dust was falling from the ceiling of our Cabana (1). But staff was accommodating and changed our bed sheets, cleaned the floor when the rain stopped. Pool was a bit cloudy, must be because of the rain. No wash area/foot bath before you go in to your room (for foot/slippers that are drenched in sand) Not enough lighting inside the room, no full body mirror, only 5 sockets inside the room (2 beside the bed, 2 by the water kettle, and 1 inside the bathroom) No room wifi. only in common areas such as restaurant and lounge area. Sliding door was hard to lock. You have to double check, sometimes the lock...
