Gerty's Tourist Inn powered by Cocotel — Hotel in Cebu

Pros: very, very welcoming family, good location near the main street but far away from its noise, room has A/C and a too big fridge, pleasant small garden, local home atmosphere. Cons: the Booking description is deceiving it says: "This holiday home consists of 1 living room, 1 separate bedroom and 1 bathroom with a shower and free toiletries" but is not a home at all, it is a standard double room on a backyard building with a plastic garden table outside the door. The room is like a flea market with at leats 9 pieces of useless old and cheap furniture occupaying space, see image. Water pressure in the shower is mostly non existent, impossible to wash long hair. And the worst is the polyester bedsheets where you sweat like in a sauna. A pity because just removing the ugly furniture and getting some cotton bedsheets and a water pump the place...

Had a lovely 4 night stay!! The place is very easy to find as its clearly indicated and well lit. Just 5 -10 mins walk away from the main restaurant area. The staff will help to tidy ur room and clear the rubbish everyday. The room was very clean and they also provided drying rack for clothes which is very useful cuz we had alot of swimmy stuff. The showers are strong and very hot. Kettle and mugs, and towels were provided. No soap was provided thou. There was a huge cold fridge in the room, a ceiling fan and aircon (takes awhile to get cold). Gerty was super helpful in helping us arrange canyoneering and a taxi car ride back to cebu city. Galaxy the doggo is super...

Gerty’s place is impeccably clean, conveniently located and possibly the friendliest place in Moalboal. ||It has the benefit of being a 5+minute walk from the main strip and near to the dives schools (which is what we were there for!), but still peaceful and quiet at night. ||The rooms are spotless, the air conditioning as well as the water heater works perfectly. There’s also a large fridge to chill your drinks and a rack to dry your swimsuits! ||The breakfasts were also delicious and always prompt.||My favourite part of staying at Gerty’s is Galaxies, the house doggo, who is an absolute angel and the best thing to come home to after a long day of adventuring....
