Overall good location, 15 pesos tricycle or trike to town in 5 mins or a 35 min away to airport via van 150 pesos per person. You can book the van to airport a day before just ask the staff and they will organise it for you and you'll just wait at reception for pick up the next day . Rest assure , don't worry the driver will pick you up on time sometimes early.. but make sure your waiting for them or worst scenario they will leave if they arrive and your not there. No extra charges for booking the van through via hotel. Staff are very helpful and friendly :) There was a young kid , daughter of one of the staff. She hangs around the dining area where visitors and hotel stayers. She holds a knife , nearly hit my back coz I was just sitting and waiting for my own breakfast. The young girl is harmless, but still need to be careful because we want to have a safe holiday. The staff are very nice and sometimes I see the staff works all day from before 7am to 9pm, she needs a rest. I woke up the next day she's already up at 630 am sweeping. She is very lovely person, she needs a rest. Just saying ... But .. she knows what she wants. .. Gets busy every morning breakfast. Yummy Pinoy food etc... However, the coffee it's very terrible. Don't know but it's very very strong... I think nescafe taste much better than what they have. Hopefully, they get rid of their coffee, it's really bad taste. Our overall stay for 4nights has been amazing, relaxing .. lots of chair which is great ! The sorrounding is very nice, It has calming effect to body and soul :) BTW there's roosters close to large bungalow and the two storey hotel.. roosters make noises from early morning and maybe from 3pm to 5pm.. We will definitely staying back to this hotel!

BE ADVISED! Our stay at Kokosnuss was a succession of troubles and inconveniences. It started with the receptionist informing us that our reservation was cancelled and the only possible option was to be moved to a hotel 5 times cheaper. After lenghty and wearysome complaints with the general manager and the owner were graciously allowed to stay in the room we paid for. The said room was a large bungalow of relative comfort as the bed consists of a thin mattress on a bamboo frame. This later was infested with BEDBUGS. In addition, RATS left feces on our luggage on a daily basis. The roofs was leaking hence leaving puddles of water on rainy days. The fan was only working on maximum speed, the AC was very loud and ineffective. When the pest infestation was brought to the attention of the management the only solution offered was ta loose our 300$ paid fee and move to another hotel. The general attitude of the staff was representative of the managerial behaviour as they were generally unfriendly and unwilling to answer simple requests such as ordering water or food (except for Gigi and Romeo). Many other costumers we exchanged with complained about similar pest infestation or faulty facilities (broken toilets, falling sink, leaks,...). Even though Kokosnuss is original, conveniently located and may appear as a peaceful garden of eden from the outside eyes, all the afore mentioned issues will surely spoil your stay. Have a great stay in Coron,

We loved our stay here. Firstly the women that work there are all wonderful and super friendly. The hotel itself is located perfectly, only 10 mins to the main town area. There is also a mcdonalds 2 mins walk away if you fancy something cheap and quick. We originally booked a room with fans but when we got there asked for an upgrade with air con, and they did this for us no problems. Just had to pay a bit extra. The rooms are big, light and spacious. Some wear and tear but we weren't bothered by this. Also a balcony area to dry clothes. There's no fridge or safe, very basic but it was just what we needed. The pool area was nice and we did use the pool for one of the days which was good. It's like a small utopia in the middle of Coron! There were cats, dogs, white rabbits at night (must be domestic), Cockerell, lizards. They also arranged for a shuttle service for us to get to the airport. Excellent value for money and I would 100% stay here again!

Prior to starting this review, i read some previous reviews, and i have to say, most of the negative ones are either without foundation completely, or were written by overly pretentious people.||It's island accommodation, it's cheap by western standards, yet some people seem to expect 5 star luxury for $40 -$50 a night ?||Please, be serious people !||In any case, we booked a 3 week stay at KokosNuss, and our positive opinion of the place started before we even checked in !||Applied for the S-Pass twice before leaving Australia, the 2nd time being immediately before boarding our flight to Manila.||Was rejected both times, reason unknown.||On arrival in Manila, it was supposed to be a few hours in a hotel then a morning flight to Coron, but we still didn't have an S-Pass, and i was at a loss as to what to do.||As a last resort, and out of desperation, i messaged KokosNuss to tell them of the issue.||Keep in mind that by this time, it was around 11.30pm.||Luckily for us, Alma was the one who responded, and assured us that she would get it sorted on our behalf, and she said to check our S-Pass account by 6.30am.||Sure enough, when i checked at around 6.30, the S-Pass was approved.||Alma was an absolute angel and our saving grace.||Staying up to nearly midnight to help us out !||I/We can't speak highly enough of Alma, and she is the epitome of true customer service.||After a stressful night with the S-Pass situation, we finally arrived at KokosNuss the next morning, and were greeted by really friendly staff.||We were shown to our room, with staff taking our suitcases and backpacks for us which was nice of them.||The room itself was quite nice, with a big bed, and the bathroom was a tastefully decorated room, separate to the bedroom.||One of the first things we needed was a good shower, and while the water wasn't hot, and the pressure wasn't great, it did the job for sure.||We sat down for dinner that first night, and when our ordered meals arrived, i was gobsmacked by the serving sizes.||I've travelled extensively around Asia (and the rest of the world) and nowhere have i been, particularly in Asia, where the serving sizes are a huge as at kokosNuss.||Eateries/Cafes/Restaurants around Asia typically have serving sizes akin to what the locals would eat themselves, and as we know, Westerners/Europeans tend to eat bigger meals than Asian people, so you tend to order more to compensate.||No need at KokosNuss, the meals are massive ! (and the range is good)||Not only are they massive in serving size, they are all freshly prepared and cooked, hence why some reviews mention having to wait a while for your order.||To have a freshly prepared and cooked meal, I’m quite happy to wait that little bit longer.||In terms of value, the meals are really well priced, especially considering that you won’t finish any of the meals still feeling hungry.||The next morning (our first full morning at KokosNuss) we ventured downstairs to the Al Fresco meals area for breakfast, and I mentioned to Alma about the water pressure in the room, and she moved us to a bigger family room upstairs.||For breakfast, we had a pot of freshly brewed coffee and plate sized Banana Pancakes.||Both of which were really good.||While having breakfast, a little Filipino girl, all of 3 years old, started chatting to us in near perfect English.||She told us her name, and was proud to tell us what the colour of things were, how many siblings she had and their names etc.||A very chatty and smart little girl for her age. ||It turns out that she is Alma’s daughter.||Over the course of our stay, we saw the little girl every morning at breakfast, and every night at dinner.||When one of us wasn’t there, she would ask where the other one was.||Such was how used to us she became as she got to know us.||Interacting with her was one of the highlights of our stay for sure.||Aside from Alma, and the owner Bhaves, all other staff were really nice people and looked after us well.||Always friendly and smiling, and making sure we had what we needed.||True Filipino hospitality is how I would describe it.||All in all, I’d rate KokosNuss a solid 3.5 star across the board.||Like I said earlier, KokosNuss accommodation is basic but perfectly fine, so please don’t go there expecting everything to be 5 star or beyond.||The food is excellent, as is the staff, the well maintained pools were really enjoyable on the super hot days, and it’s a very easy 10 min walk into town.||The only 2 suggestions I could make would be that they look into how to get water pressure to the showers, and consider re-introducing the ability to settle bills by EFT.||Apart from those 2 minute things, we really enjoyed our stay at KokosNuss, and can’t wait...

Pleasant garden area surrounded by a variety of rooms. Attention to detail is the only thing the place is lacking, otherwise a pleasant stay.||||We had a large family room to the two of us, so there was of course a lot of space. I liked the spacing and layout - there was lots of empty area, not every square meter stuffed full of needless furniture. The feeling that you are not cramped into a cubicle was wonderful.||||The food is probably the most unexpected delight we encountered - the quality was very good and the portions were large. We tried different dishes and were always very satisfied. Definitely worth eating in instead of going to the town!||||The room was equipped with excellent ventilation and AC. The former can be a rarity in the philippines, where many hotels do not want to let in outside air. Here, you could open the entire room for airflow and let in that cool evening air. I recommend using the AC only during the midday when it is warmest - this provided a very pleasant atmosphere.||||The garden has seating areas, swings, hammocks and a rather nice pool. Lots of room to spend time relaxing or resting.||||What the place lacks is attention to detail. Just a pile of small things that if taken care of would take it to the next level. Let me list a few:||||* They offer free drinking water refills, as is expected, but the water dispenser was absolutely filthy. I think nobody had wiped it clean in months.||* The same water refill dispenser was behind a locked door so only availale while the kitchen was open. When I wanted water during late evening, there was nowhere to get it from.||* I saw the cleaning crew cleaning neighboring rooms but nobody cleaned our room for the 3 days we spent there. This just stood out as a shoddy job.||* While the garden has a lot of nice hammocks, most of them were very much stretched out, so you ended up right on the ground if you sat in them.||* They had an extensive menu but seemed not to have half the things in stock. I should not be thinking "oh they probably do not also have that" when I read a menu. Change the menu if you cannot ensure a...

We stayed at KokosNus from July 13 – 15, 2017. I booked it thru agoda because they gave the lowest price. I read reviews before deciding to book our stay there. It was located around 5 minutes away from the city proper that is why it was less noisy around the area. Aside from that, I wanted us to stay in a more decent place so we can rest more comfortably throughout our vacation. Upon arrival, we noticed that the outside area was half-constructed but just shrugged it off because what was more important was the room where we would stay. The garden was beautiful and rustic looking but the pool was too small and shallow and frogs were all over the place since it was already rainy season. When we checked-in to our room we immediately notice the canopy bed and the beautiful design and wall paint that gives it a garden feel but we also noticed that the electric fans they provided were filthy. My first task was to clean the electric fans because we do not want to wait for the staffs to clean it up. Thinking that the place looks peaceful because it was away from too much noise from the tricycles outside, we didn’t think that the noise would come from the resort staffs themselves—yes it came from the resort staffs singing in their videoke the whole night. My boyfriend approached them regarding the concern about the noise but they only adjusted the volume and after a few minutes the music was loud again. The next day we spent all day on island hopping. We were hoping that housekeeping staffs would at least clean the floor and bathroom but they did not even come. They did not even care to get our used mugs the other night. Upon check-out we expected that the room would be inspected but the resort staffs didn’t even look at our room. We were so disappointed. It was such a waste of money. We would definitely not recommend this place for anybody. We heard that the owner of the resort was out of the country, maybe that was why the resort staffs...
