3 stars – Unique stay with potential, but needs better attention to detail Staying in a yurt was definitely a unique experience, and we appreciated the peaceful setting and the super comfy bed. Also, a big plus: the towels were always fresh and smelled great! We were also thankful for the flexibility with our late check-out – that was really helpful. However, the place needs more attention to detail. We had to kill four cockroaches during our stay, and the tents had visible holes and stains. Earplugs were a must for sleeping due to the noise. Access to tap water stops at around 5–6 PM, which meant we had to buy water just to brush our teeth at night. Service was mixed – the lady at the reception was lovely and very helpful, but the woman from the travel desk was not friendly and always present, which affected the vibe. With a little more care and consistency, this could be a really special place.

We enjoyed this stay very much. David was very accommodating and family and coworkers all added to the experience of service and friendliness. Mid day it gets warm in the yurt, so get out and play somewhere. We rented a scooter from Nomad and lined up a tour which was a full day. Chilling on the patio mid afternoon was very nice. We had room 1 up at the top which has a nice bathroom just next to unit. Slept very well. Woke up early to roosters but we like to get up early when traveling so it was like a snooze button lol. Added a photo of the family yurt with four beds and a mini split aircon- that one probably stays a bit cooler.

If you are looking for a unique stay, and more importantly, a place with kind and friendly staff - this is the place. We had a great stay @ Nomad Yurts. Big beds, decent AC, and a short walk or even shorter trike drive away from the hustle and bustle of Coron Town Proper - we loved it all. The breakfast platter was delicious as well but the hospitality is really what was best. David, Batbilig and team were wonderful and really made our trip special. We will be back again!

Not the best experience from multiple angles. we ended up staying at much better places for the same money.

1- noise: super loud, you’re tucked right on the Main Street, loud trikes, dogs, etc all night long. I had to sleep with ear plugs.

2- low quality yurts: the bathroom door knob just straight up fell off while my gf was showering. No one was around to help her. After screaming for help for 15 mins, the attendant showed up, laughing. These are not the kind of yurts you expect to find at any glamping sight. It’s the Chinese rip off version of those with really large gaps to the outside. We had a frog and a cockroach in the bathroom during our stay, and ants attack any open packaging.

3- staff: friendly but not very aligned or competent. We had a tour who was picking us up. The front personnel, knocked on our door and told us to get on a jeep that was parked at front, which was a dive jeep we had taken the day before. I asked if she is sure that’s the right one, and she confirmed. Then another staff member texted me that the tour trike is waiting for us at the door! They had put us on the wrong truck and we had to scramble to get to our meeting point, while whoever was supposed to go diving I guess just didn’t go!

4- there was no hot water in some of the tents, and instead of telling us in advance they waited for us to notice it and follow up, then they revealed that the water heater broke last week and they are replacing it next week. So we had to shower in another tent.

5- there is a massage spot at the front, that keeps harassing you for massage whenever you enter,

We actually left the place early and got another hotel (coron 180) for basically the same price, brand new building, nice and competent staff and...

Our stay at Nomad Yurts in Coron, Palawan was nothing short of magical! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with warm hospitality from the one of the owners, Bibi, who made us feel right at home. The modern yurt we stayed in was an absolute dream—spacious, beautifully designed, and with every detail thoughtfully curated for comfort.

One of the highlights of our stay was the yoga class with Allan. It was such a grounding and calming experience. Allan's expertise and calming presence made the session incredibly enjoyable, and it was the perfect way to start the day. Afterward, we had the unique opportunity to experience an ice bath, which was both refreshing and invigorating—an incredible way to boost energy and recovery.

And the food! Norah, the cook, treated us to some of the most delicious meals we’ve had. A standout was the homemade dumplings, which were absolutely divine. Each dish was bursting with fresh flavours, and you could tell that each one was prepared with love and care.

The combination of amazing hospitality, great food, and wellness activities made our time at Nomad Yurt unforgettable. If you're looking for a different experience than you typical hotel, Nomad Yurts is the place to be!...
