First Pacific Inn — Hotel in Davao City

I booked this hotel mainly because it was near the Cosmopolitan Funerals where a wake was going on. For the cheap rate and busy street location, I expected the worse but was surprised to find that I actually liked it. I only booked a couple nights thinking to move to a "better" hotel after the funeral. Instead I extended my stay because when I checked the other hotel I planned to move to, it was not worth the money I would be paying. First Pacific's room is cheaper, bigger and cleaner. Not sparkling, 5 star hotel clean. But clean enough. Absolutely no creepy crawlies and no smell. Daily linen change too.||There are only 4 rooms on each floor so the noise level is very low in the corridor. I was on the 3rd floor but I could barely hear the busy traffic along Quirino Ave. below. ||The WIFI was fast ( I was streaming video!) - but I can only vouch for the 3rd floor WIFI. On the negative side - no restaurant. Breakfast is delivered to your room and its pretty boring choices. ||The front desk staff was always helpful. Taxi is right outside 1 - 5 minutes wait. The place is a basic inn/hotel with very affordable prices given its central location in Davao. The rooms are spacious enough with cable TV, in room phone, free wifi, shower heaters. The room is clean, the sheets are clean. Staff is friendly and accommodating. ||||Stayed here twice already due to its convenient location. The only problem I had was with the shower: I had a room with good water pressure but intermittent water heating. The other room I got had poor water pressure and I had a difficult time bathing. I hope they can improve on this. ||||There are no complimentary water, shampoo, toothbrush, toothpaste. We booked a twin deluxe room from Aug 9-13. We did not expect anything coz it was cheap. But to our surprise, the hotel is really nice and the rooms are clean. Im reading a lot of comments and some are saying that the wifi connection sucks, but Nooooooo, wifi is great. Hahahahahahaha.
