I was initially turned off by the loud voices here at check-in time, particularly that of the co-owner and her staff. There was NO free water offered so I had to buy it myself. Learned later on that they were temporarily out of it during my check-in process.||||The staff, particularly named JUDE was very kind and helpful through my visit. He gave me a room with hot shower, told me about the tourist attractions of the city, and helped me book my flight from Dumaguete to Cebu when I learned how long it would take to ride these buses and ferries.||||MY ROOM: It is big, with 2 beds ( one is Full size, the other is Twin Size), with Free Wifi and Cable TV. Breakfast is NOT free ( cos is 90 pesos) and has to be pre-ordered the previous night.||||LOCATION: Excellent location. There are Bakeries, Fruit Market, Dumaguete Public Market and other attractions within 5-10 minutes of walking to reach them: Cathedral, Quezon Park, City Hall, Rizal Boulevard, etc.|||| 8 pesos Tricycle ride for attractions located away from Z Pension such as Siliman University, Port, Bell Tower. ||||CLEANING STAFF: They are friendly and helpful as well, particularly the one named, LOIDA. Read moreI recently stayed at Z Pension Inn for a short business trip, and while the accommodation itself was comfortable and the staff friendly, I must express my disappointment with the internet service.||Upon checking in, I was assured that the hotel provided high-speed internet access. However, throughout my stay, I encountered constant connectivity issues. Whether I was attempting to send emails, conduct video conferences, or simply browse the web, the unreliable internet made it nearly impossible to accomplish any work efficiently.||Despite contacting the front desk multiple times to address the issue, the problem persisted, and there seemed to be little effort made to resolve it. As someone who relies heavily on a stable internet connection for work, this was incredibly frustrating and ultimately impacted my overall experience at the hotel.||While Z Pension Inn may offer comfortable accommodations and friendly service, I would caution future guests who require consistent internet access for work or leisure activities. Until they improve their internet reliability, I would hesitate to recommend this establishment to others who prioritize connectivity...
Read moreFirst stay being a family with a young baby we arranged early check in, re confirmed this with hotel a couple of days before our stay sorted @ P100 per hour. On arrival despite showing reception e mails from the hotel we were abruptly told early check in was NOT possible to go away and come back "later" and that is was not possible to leave our luggage at the hotel. Second stay booked with a well known online booking agent, on arrival the hotel tried to significantly increase the stated booked price. The online "booking" agent were no use at all in getting the hotel to honour the price. A lengthy argument with the receptionist was had, despite having the e mail booking stating the price, the hotel did not wish to honour this. Internet WiFi at this hotel is virtually none existent and there is no elevator so you have to drag your luggage up the stairs. One morning a 5am the staff were screaming and shouting at each other. At weekend some young groups were staying who were exteemly noisey and found it funny to knock on hotel room doors in the middle of the night and run off. Buyer beware as...
