Piece Lio, El Nido — Hotel in El Nido

Could not fault this hotel. Definitely recommended! This hotel was superb! First class without breaking your bank. Throughout our stay we were treated with high class service and everyone was very attentive and hospitable. We were welcomed from arrival and given a tour of the beach as our room was not ready yet. The staff go above and beyond to provide their guests with a wonderful time! The staff always smiles and even remembers your names so it makes your stay just a little extra special. They provide help if you need any recommendations for places to eat, drink or visit. The hotel partners with a tour company for island hopping which has similar prices to most agencies in town so it is very convenient.

Area: The place is in a new and upcoming area in el nido - Lio. It is very close to the beach. In here you can swim and chill. The area is very clean and well guarded with security and life guards. So you feel safe. It is literally 2 minutes walk from the hotel. It is around 15 minutes by car to the main town of el nido and they provide a free shuttle that comes and goes every hour. We came in low season so it wasn't too busy and most times there wasn't anyone in the shuttle with us so it felt like our own car. The drivers are very friendly as well. There is also a nearby little shop where you can buy souvenirs and eat. It might be pricier than main town but they do have different selection. They also have a lot of restaurants by the beach if you don't want to travel to town everytime. It is very quaint, quiet and peaceful. There is a lot of choices from pasta, pizza, authentic filipino, mediterranean, seafood and desserts. There's happy hour so you can enjoy a drink by the beach. The hotel itself is in a quiet and peaceful area. Gets you back to nature as it is surrounded by trees and lovely plants.

Rooms: The rooms are amazing! The pictures on their site speaks for itself. It is exactly like the pictures and even better in person. Very spacious and very modern. Everything is kept at a pristine condition. Beds are massive and pillows are so soft you definitely get a good night's sleep. Toilet is state of the art. They have strong waterfall shower, automatic toilet and a dyson in your own room. Water pressure is amazing and you'll have plenty of space to put your clothes away. They have a safe for valuables and also provide slippers and bathrobes. There is a lounge area where you can sit and relax whilst you look at the amazing view outside your room. Air-conditioning was great as it's been hot during our stay. There is a kitchenette if you would like to cook or eat in your room and it was equipped with all your needed amenities. Only thing missing was a tea towel to wipe your plates after you have finished. But to be honest their housekeepers are amazing and clean everything for you after if you have left them. The housekeepers are very thorough when they make your room up and also attentive to stocking up your amenities. There is free drinking water so no need to keep buying from the shops as you can't drink tap water. They have a smeg kettle and also a Nespresso with pods. They provide tea and coffee and also lovely little dried fruit snacks. There is a fridge and microwave. You can't really ask for anything else. The balcony was amazing as its very close to the nature. You can wake up to the sounds of birds and crickets and feel definitely away from the busy city life.

You can have breakfast at the hotel and they have a little coffee shop as well. There are games at the reception you can borrow if you want and also a weighing scale for your luggage. They basically have everything you would need or ask for. They provide beach towels so need to worry about adding that to your luggage. I loved this hotel and it was a highlight of my family's Philippine trip. Notable things about this hotel we all loved: The design of the hotel was in a well done MODERN JAPANDI (Japanese/Scandinavian) decor and architecture fashion. It centered its rooms around the hotel's beautiful plunge pool framed by tropical trees and plants like a secluded oasis. The rooms huge windows (some two-story high) faced outwards into the jungle forest. This felt like a palm springs hotel vibe but in the jungle. The design and decor of the rooms were exquisitely curated with a clean and fresh palette of woods and stone. I saw many rooms as my family of 16 stayed in 4 of the 5 types of rooms available at this property. All spacious and done beautifully with a minimalistic touch. The area (Lio Estate) where this hotel is located is about a 15 minute tuktuk ride from the El Nido town center. However, the Lio Estate area was not busy or crowded like the town center and offered more of a secluded nature preserve setting. We can see monkeys jumping from trees in front of our room windows and hear the tropical breeze rushing through the mangroves around the hotel. The hotel does not have ocean views but is a mere 2 minute walk to Lio beach where local restaurants and shops can be accessed making the property not completed secluded like other island escape establishments However, the biggest draw to this property is the STAFF. Traveling with my large family of several generations, the hotel staff went above and beyond to make sure everyone in my group was kept comfortable. Front desk staff like Elise, Dan, and James, took care of coordinating our requests for island hopping activities, motorbike rentals, and coordinating our shuttle service to and from the airport. They truly know the meaning of Philippine hospitality and was always willing to help, and often offered suggestions to assist with the logistics of traveling with a group of 16. Additionally Elmer and Jonathan who helped shuttle the group back and forth to our destinations were so friendly and helpful – sharing local El Nido tips along the way that made our stay so personal. The way you all worked together to plan, perfect, and pull off the surprise proposal was nothing short of extraordinary. Every detail was handled with such care and thoughtfulness, it felt like the moment came straight out of a fairytale. When I saw it all come together, I couldn’t help but cry—tears of pure joy, love, and overwhelming emotion.

And to the rest of the staff—thank you for your constant kindness, your attentive hearts, and the way you made us feel not just welcomed, but genuinely seen and celebrated.
