A MUST try HIDDEN GEM!! First timers in El Nido, We were Blessed to dine during soft opening… Started with the best UBE Latte I’ve ever had, Muscavado Latte my son loved and iced cold coconut Latte for my hubby. Freshly roasted local coffee beans. The barista was truly talented with rich flavorful, artfully done swan and hearts ( oat milk) latte art.
Amazing Appetizers we tried: fried and fresh lumpia with a peanut mango sauce..Skewers with quinoa salad and a pizza atop with mushrooms and sweet grilled onions with fresh local greens and beautiful edible flowers.
The chefs are brilliant with the tasteful and beautifully done dishes. Hats off to the chefs!!! We had ginataan mungo with mock mushroom chicharon. They had a vegan patis (I’m allergic to regular fish sauce) asking to sell us a bottle of this because it’s umami flavor. Vegan Kare Kare with vegan mushroom like bagoong so good. Mushroom WHO?? Various mushrooms and varied vegetables. Veganized Sissig very tasty, could not, believe how did they do it.
Desserts maja blanca brûlée, I love this modern version!!! Chocolate mousse with local cacao nibs!!! Both super yummy!!
We are not vegan and amazed of the tastes. We were not missing meats.

Read moreEating here was the biggest mistake of my whole 2-month vacation. I've been traveling through Japan, the Philippines, and Vietnam with zero problems, until I had the fresh veggie rolls from here. 2 hours later, my stomach started grumbling. I rushed back to my hotel, where I spent the next 5 hours getting VIOLENTLY ill, vomiting non-stop and explosive diarrhea. As a healthcare practitioner, I did quite a bit of research on various types of food poisoning. The rapid onset and extreme intensity of my symptoms suggest Staph aureus enterotoxin, which is commonly is found on uncooked veggies like lettuce... Of course, it's possible that I was poisoned some time prior to eating at PLNT + HRVST (e.g. something like E. coli) and the symptoms just took a few days to come on. However, I still feel it's important to put this warning out there, just in case... It looks like I'm not the first person to feel they might have eaten something at this establishment that got them ill. I would strongly recommend tourists avoid uncooked vegetables while traveling, even from well-reviewed vegan restaurants...
Read moreLove that there's Plant-based food available for non-meat eaters and those looking to eat something healthier. We ordered Kamote Fries, Fried Vegetable Egg Rolls and Caldereta.
Kamote Fries - standard, good. The adobo sauce that came with it was a little weird though.
Fried Vegetable Egg rolls - Reaaally really good! It was packed with mushrooms and veggies, had a lot of flavor, the dipping sauce that came with it was perfect. The serving was good for sharing.
Caldereta - Really disappointed about this dish. I get that it's a vegetarian option, just tofu, carrots, bell peppers and potatoes. But it tasted nothing like caldereta, not even a smidge of likeliness to Caldereta. It tasted like sweet and sour tofu. If they called it that, i wouldnt be offended, but because they called it caldereta, i had my hopes up, but they failed in this dish. (To think, the waiter said this was a bestseller thats why we ordered it) .. We should've gone with the tofu and mushroom sisig instead. 😅
Overall, the food was okay. The ambiance is great! Plus your view of...
