Himaya Siargao 1. LOCATION - right smack in the middle of it all; a few mins ride to the hippest snack bars, coolest night hang outs, and the top tourist attractions of the island. 2. ACCOMMODATION & AMENITIES - the resort's architecture and interiors are Balinese-inspired so it's a unique combination of local and international design - I especially love the bathrooms! There are rooms for couples, for a whole family, and even for a large group of 10! There is an adjoining (Caribbean-Filipino fusion - the only one in the island!) restaurant so from your early breakfast needs prior you go ride the waves to your late night cravings, they got you! 3. STAFF - service with a Heart, from the frontdesk staff to the Manager (Gelli), you know you will be in good hands. the resort even has a Tour Manager (Jep) to really ensure that you will enjoy every moment of your stay on the island - talk about customer service to the hilt! Given that it was my first time in Siargao Island, Himaya Siargao offered great value for money ensured that I take with me lasting memories when I leave and would jump at the next oportunity to be back and make more awesome ones!

Our room had several single beds and a huge bathroom facility. The beds were very comfortable and the AC worked great! Staff also accommodated us with a fan to help circulate the air from the AC. They truly do treat their guests like family! There were only 2 things we didn't like about our stay, but they weren't enough to lower our star RATING. One was, my wife and I were here on our honeymoon and had to sleep in separate beds. We tried pushing 2 beds together, but the location of the outlets made it almost impossible, as I kept knocking the plugs out of the outlets, while sleeping. I was afraid I'd set the bed on fire. So we spent our honeymoon sleeping across the room from each other. And number two is, we could hear our neighbors every time they took a poop. It was almost as if we were in the bathroom with them. Their customer service is TOP NOTCH! We even got to talk to the owners and they are wonderful people. The Tiki Hut Bar and restaurant is about 30 steps from our room. There is also a nice coffee bar outside our room. It's a beautiful area with wonderful greenery! We will definitely stay here next time we come back.

Cool AC but still enough tropical vibe! But be careful with their paid services. I stayed in Himaya hotel for tour days. The room was equipped with everything you need except a refrigerator. The size of the bed was definitely not king-size as promised but a small queen-size but it’s still comfortable. The staffs were friendly, the restaurant and coffee shop provided good food and drinks but the quality of their out-sourced service providers is not even. I had in-room massage but it was just an average one and one of the masseuse even talked on his phone while giving my friend massage with one hand! I also joined their Sohoton cove day tour. The tour got delayed by an hour simply because they wanted to fill out the boat. I got promised to go 7 spots but eventually we went only 3 of them without any explanation. Well, I was about to leave early morning the next day so I had no way to complaint about it.

We stayed in Himaya Hut (June 11-14, 2024) during our Siargao vacation. This place is in General Luna, which is around 30 minutes from the airport (Carmen). Don’t be surprised with this “hut” because its simplicity radiates art - from architecture to landscaping, the decors, the bedrooms and restrooms, and the St Thomas Cafe (serving guests from 8 am to 5 pm). Since our accommodation had free breakfast, we didn’t only enjoy it; we could hardly finish it. Huge serving (so maybe you can request the chef to reduce the Cebu chorizo serving from 3 to 2 pieces only). There are choices, and we also ordered Bacon and Bangus. This was served with rice, an egg, vege salad (side dish), fried danggit, a dip (sawsawan) and brewed coffee. There is a bar (sadly we didn’t try it due to our hectic schedule). Hectic because we arranged a tri island tour and a land tour (for these you can choose a private one or a “joiner”, meaning you will be joining other guests). Our lunch in DAKU island - charcoal grilled fish and squid, kinilaw, lato, shrimps, and lechon manok. We also had sweet mangoes, banana, and buko. We were lucky to have Jeff (the owner) as our guide in the island. He surfs, landscapes, and grows herbs. Jeff calls us Titas, thus, by the time we went back to Himaya after each tour, we were a bit tired. This explains why we had no time to try the mojitos and the margaritas. For the tours, Himaya will arrange them for you. Our last night in Himaya, Jeff prepared a special tea for the Titas. My oh my, it was the BEST Tea ever! Imagine a tea concoction of freshly picked leaves - choco mint (mentha x piperita f. Citrata), roselle (genus hibiscus), and thinly sliced ginger (zingiber officinale). So refreshingly minty, a bit chocolaty, peppery, subtly acidic, and sweetie. We had a good sleep since we had to check out at 4 am the following day for our early flight to Cebu. So if you plan to visit Siargao, with friends and family members, we highly recommend Himaya Hut - it’s “a clean, well lighted place” with add ons of accommodating staff, a lot of birds of paradise, bamboos, shrubs, woody furniture, and old stuff (singer sewing machine, iron, typewriter, phonograph, bottles, etc.), displayed artistically. You will definitely remember the good old days! Tadaaaaa… for tattoo lovers, Himaya Hut has a corner for this. But for Jeff’s Titas, it’s a NO for us, although one Tita said, “maybe next time” :) Thank you Himaya! Thank you Jeff and Jelly! To all the staff, Brian (our guide in the land tour), and Miguel -...

A Tropical Paradise with Exceptional Service - 5 Stars!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Himaya Siargao, and I cannot express enough how much I loved every moment of my visit. From the stunning location near General Luna to the warm and friendly staff, this resort truly exceeded my expectations.

Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted by the front of house staff, who offered us a refreshing drink that instantly helped us unwind after our journey to the island. Adding to the welcoming atmosphere, we were also introduced to Olive, the resort's delightful dog. It was such a joy to have her around!

The front desk staff were incredibly helpful throughout our stay. They went above and beyond to assist us in organizing various activities, from island hopping to land tours and even surfing lessons. They even arranged tricycle rides for us, ensuring our safety

During our time at Himaya Siargao, my partner unfortunately fell ill. The staff took exceptional care of us, bringing Lugaw (a Filipino rice porridge) to our room. It was such a sweet and thoughtful gesture. The kitchen staff also accommodated my partner's needs, providing delicious and nourishing meals that greatly aided in his recovery. I must say, breakfast was a highlight, evoking a sense of nostalgia

The bar staff deserves a special mention for their outstanding cocktail creations. I was particularly fond of their mango margaritas and mojitos, which were expertly crafted using kalamansi (Philippine limes). It was such a nice touch!

One cannot overlook the breathtaking aesthetics of the resort. From the moment you step through the gate, you're transported into a tropical paradise. The entire property exudes tranquility and beauty. I couldn't help but feel a sense of calm and serenity.

What truly inspired me was hearing the owner's story of resilience in the face of super typhoon Odette, which devastated much of Siargao island in December 2021. Despite the challenges, the resort was rebuilt into the stunning oasis it is today. One notable testament to this is the repurposed wooden wall near the bar, crafted from the old Himaya. In our room, the headboard was also made from the reclaimed wood.

I wholeheartedly recommend Himaya Siargao to anyone seeking a memorable and rejuvenating getaway. I can't wait to return and spend even...

Me and my Fiancé recently had the pleasure of staying at Himaya Siargao, and I must say, it was an experience we will always treasure and never forget. I had high expectations, and the resort did not disappoint. Here are our reasons why we will definitely go back to Himaya Siargao:

Food: The culinary delights at Himaya Siargao were nothing short of extraordinary. I must say World Class, and you should try it. Every meal we have ordered was a feast for the senses, with flavors that danced on the palate. Thank you Chef.

Service: All the staff, the chef, and the owner went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Their "family-like" attention to detail and genuine warmth made us feel like royalty.

Cleanliness: The rooms and villa were immaculate, with a fresh and inviting ambiance. Everything was spotless, reflecting the high standards of the resort.

Price: The value for money at Himaya Resort is exceptional. Quality accommodations, delicious food, and top-notch service all come at a reasonable price.

Surroundings: It's a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of daily life.

Proximity to the Island Activities: The resort's location is ideal for exploring the island's attractions. Whether you're into surfing, biking, water sports, hiking, or cultural experiences, everything is within easy reach.

Himaya Siargao is a local gem that offers a perfect blend of laid-back comfort, class, and adventure. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable and stress...
