I had the most remarkable experience at Vedya Siargao, Boutique Hostel. From the moment I arrived, the staff greeted me with such warmth and genuine kindness. Their personable and thoughtful approach truly made me feel like a part of their family. The humanistic touch in their hospitality added an extra layer of magic to my stay. The architecture of the hostel is a work of art in itself. Set amidst the paradise of Siargao and its tropical surroundings, Vedya Siargao combines beauty and comfort seamlessly. Every corner of the hostel is beautifully crafted, creating an ambiance that's nothing short of enchanting. One of the highlights of my stay was the dining experience at Vedya Karinderya. As a whole foods eater, I'm always on the lookout for exciting and delicious plant-based options. The flavors that the kitchen delivers are not only abundant and robust but also incredibly satisfying. The menu boasts an array of mouthwatering dishes that cater to all palates, making it a true haven for food enthusiasts. Vedya Siargao, Boutique Hostel, offers more than just a place to stay; it offers a holistic experience that nourishes the soul. The combination of the kind-hearted staff, stunning architecture, and exceptional vegan cuisine creates an oasis of tranquility and delight. I'm truly grateful for the memories I've made during my time here and can't wait to return to this slice of paradise. Thank you, Vedya Siargao, for providing me with an...
Read moreI stayed in a hostel for a week. I think it’s a good option for solo travelers
Not sure whether they have and use generator though. There was an outage only once during my stay, and they didn’t use it. I didn’t find staff and didn’t ask them though, so not sure.
They have a spacious kitchen, so if you wanna cook, it’s a good place. Also, the hot water is really hot and has a good pressure. It’s my first place in Siargao with such a proper shower
Things I didn’t really like:
LOVE everything about Vedya! The vegan breakfast dishes a la carte are always beautifully, deliciously well made. The turo-turo style dishes are also always made fresh and something I look forward to not only to eat in the restaurant but to take home to my family. The coffee and drinks are too quality and that is why I love meeting here with my friends or going on a date with my husband. The staff are friendly and I would say the place is also kid friendly because of the space where the little ones can run around! The menu also has freshly baked pastries of the day (we love the cookies, ube roll, focaccia, banana bread) that the kids and adults love. I also find the fact that there are uniquely Filipino options very special because even if many of the people eating in Vedya are tourists and foreigners, the local and Filipino pride is never lost. It’s located at the back road so away from the hustle and bustle of the main General Luna area and is totally worth visiting when in...
