We had an amazing breakfast at The Saul Shack and it completely exceeded our expectations. From the moment we walked in, the vibe and atmosphere stood out — relaxed, stylish, and welcoming, with great music and a warm, friendly energy throughout the place. It’s the kind of spot where you instantly feel comfortable and want to linger a little longer.
The breakfast bowls were the highlight for us — not only were they beautifully presented, but the flavors were spot on. Everything was fresh, vibrant, and bursting with taste. You can tell a lot of care goes into the preparation, and it really shows in every bite.
The drinks were just as impressive — we had the passion fruit and lemonade, and both were super refreshing with just the right balance of sweetness and tartness. They complemented the food perfectly and added to the whole experience.
Our girls were all about the desserts — the tiramisu and brownie were a big hit! The tiramisu was creamy and rich with a nice coffee kick, and the brownie was gooey, chocolatey perfection. It’s safe to say nothing was left on the plates!
Overall, we highly recommend The Saul Shack to anyone looking for a place with great food, cool atmosphere, and friendly service. Whether you're after a laid-back breakfast or a treat with the family, this spot delivers on all fronts. We’ll definitely be coming back — already looking forward to our next visit...

Highlight: The cacao Drink here ( Shakti Dose ) is exceptional, arguably the best I’ve tasted in Siargao. It has a smooth, balanced flavor—not overly creamy—remaining consistent and satisfying with each sip. It’s a must-try!
Downside: Unfortunately, their GCash payment option was unavailable during my visit. The staff was accommodating, offering to receive payment through her personal GCash account and cashing it in afterward.
Service could use some improvement. The staff, though efficient, seemed preoccupied with orders, leading to a lack of warm greetings….
My order—a smoothie bowl and cacao—took an hour to arrive. While the food was worth the wait, the long service time detracted from the experience, preventing me from giving a full five-star rating.
Tips: If you plan to visit, ensure you bring cash. I learned this the hard way, relying solely on my card and digital wallet. On a positive note, the comfortable setting with just a fan (no air conditioning needed) makes it an ideal spot to relax, even during the most humid hours from 10 AM onwards.
Overall, Soul Shack offers a great atmosphere and standout cacao Drink, but there’s room for improvement in service and payment options.

I booked my stay at the connected hostel, La Bohemia, purely to be close to Soul Shack. I ate here every day and it was always the perfect way to start my day. The bowls were fresh, loaded with toppings, and felt healthy and nourishing. The homemade granola they use on top is TO DIE FOR—cinnamon deliciousness. The Jungala Bowl (green) was my favorite — earthy and sweet without being too sweet. I also really liked the Surya Bowl (tropical).
Soul Shack also serves up the best cacao on the island. It’s thick, rich, and opens that heart right up. Definitely recommend!
The ambiance and vibe are unmatched — tropical tribal eco villa vibes—which is always what I’m looking for. Great giant new hammock space on the second floor looking down over the common area below, and lots of tables and art upstairs. The music was always a vibe and I just generally loved being here.
