The Ohm Siargao Resort — Restaurant in General Luna

The Ohm Siargao is probably the most beautiful boutique hotel we have ever stayed at. Tucked away on a quite side street of the main road in General Luna, it is perfect for rest and relaxation, but still close enough to experience everything the area has to offer.||Our welcome to the hotel was very warm and we were immediately led up to our beautiful hotel room, which was not only very tastefully and modernly decorated, but you could also see that the owners had thought about everything and added extra details to make your stay as convenient as possible. The bed was huge, soft and the bedding and linens clearly of very high quality (which is really important to us!) so it literally felt like sleeping on Cloud 9. I also loved the microcement bathroom, and the shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner available smelled divine.||Additionally, there is an amazing shaded communal area with a small cafe at the hotel, which is perfect for those slow mornings or escaping the daytime heat. The owners were around a lot and we had some incredible conversations with Tarun, who soon felt like we had known for a lifetime. The recent addition of a pool also means you can easily spend the whole day lounging there, away from the heat and noise of traffic. The staff was also very helpful and set us up with anything from laundry service to island tours at very reasonable rates, and they even started stocking coconut milk just so I could have my morning coffee the way I like it! There are also several orange cats roaming around the are, who add to the charm of the place!||Overall, I would recommend the Ohm Siargao to any traveller who wants 5* luxury hotel treatment in a quiet, beautifully designed boutique hotel, where they can fully relax and not have to think about anything, for what I would say is a very low budget price for this experience. I would book ahead though, as the small amount of rooms available get snatched up very quickly! This is way off my typical property choice but I wanted my entitled kid to see life from a different perspective than the RC. What our family and friends found surprised us immensely. ||We found a staff that was kind, hospitable and ready to assist in any and every way possible. Pearla and team you are the best!! ||We found a room with a comfortable bed with an industrial feel that was clean and functional. The shower water was hot and suitable. ||Breakfast was fantastic! The fruits and juices were fresh and delicious. The eggs and omelettes were great and the cappuccino’s and espresso super. ||The neighborhood is filled with hostels and backpacker’s accommodations and they would flock here for pool access and breakfast. It was lively with people but not loud or disturbing. They need to monetize the access so they can at least make more money on the freeloaders who pay for one cup of coffee and suck their power and bandwidth. They deserve to make more money. ||It’s a five minute ride to the beach which we did not love but I would come back and stay here again and arrange more surf time for my son and the local instructor. If the roosters could be muted even better but it’s all part of the experience. ||As far as a lesson, I’m not sure what my kid learned because the personal care and service he received was as good as the RC in Samui, Portugal, etc. etc. ||Book it!
